A Vorusku kipper was a type of fish[1] from the Vorusku system.[2] In 231 BBY,[3] the former Nihil Strike Andrik Keller, talking about the supposed death of Nihil Tempest Runner Pan Eyta at the hands of Tempest Runner Lourna Dee, described Dee as having "stitched" Eyta up like a Vorusku kipper. Unbeknownst to Keller, the individual he was recounting the story to was none other than Eyta himself.[1]

Behind the scenes

A Vorusku kipper was first mentioned in the 2021 audio drama The High Republic: Tempest Runner, written by Cavan Scott for the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project and performed by a full cast.[1] It shares its name with Vorusku, a planet in the Star Wars Legends continuity first mentioned in the 2000 roleplaying game set Star Wars: Invasion of Theed Adventure Game, part of the Wizards of the Coast Star Wars Roleplaying Game.[4] In real life, a kipper is a type of smoked herring.
