Viess's army[2] was a warrior-kin led by General Abediah Viess during the High Republic Era.[1] During that time, they were hired by the Field Marshal of the Bethune army Tozen to support his siege of Firevale on the planet of Gansevor, in exchange they would be allowed to loot the city for 12 hours. However during their mission Viess betrayed Tozen, killing him and seizing command of the operation in order to destroy the city and completely loot it, firing on civilian targets in the process. Ultimately Sicatra, Porter Engle and the Bethunian army inflicted heavy casualties on the group causing them to abandon their efforts to destroy the city and fleeing the planet.[3]
The group travelled to Allard and began to terrorize the population after learning that Avar Kriss was using the planet as a base of operations.[4]
