The Vibroblade Brigade was a mercenary unit active around the time of the Clone Wars, fought between the Galactic Republic and Confederacy of Independent Systems[2] from 22 BBY to 19 BBY.[3] On retainer with the Corporate Alliance,[1] the brigade was hired by Magistrate Passel Argente alongside other mercenary and privateer groups to work with the conglomerate's Policy Administration Directorate and protect the company's assets.[2] They were also hired to protect Argente's personally overseen operations.[1] During the conflict, in which the brigade had sided with the Confederacy of Independent Systems' droid army,[2] when the Outer Rim Sieges[1] occurred in 19 BBY,[3] the Vibroblade Brigade took part in the Corporate Alliance's defense of Murkhana City on the planet Murkhana after it was targeted by opposing forces.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Vibroblade Brigade was introduced in the current Star Wars canon in Rise of the Separatists, a 2019 supplement to Fantasy Flight Games' series of Star Wars Roleplaying products.[2] In the Star Wars Legends, the Vibroblade Brigade made its debut in Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader, a 2005 novel authored by James Luceno.[4]
