The second moon of the Outer Rim[1] and New Territories[2] planet Vernid[1] was located in a Kanz sector's Vernid system[3] near the Veragi Trade Route[5] in grid square M-4 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[4] The Red Moon Festival was one of the few celebrations on Vernid, the occasion occurring when the planet's second moon glowed red above the world. When the festival was celebrated in Vernid's Bakerstown settlement[1] in 4 ABY,[6] clouds in the sky parted to reveal the red-glowing moon.[1]
Behind the scenes
Vernid's second moon was mentioned in the 2019 novel Alphabet Squadron, the initial installment of Alexander Freed's Star Wars: Alphabet Squadron trilogy.[1]
