Velser's Ring, Velsor's Ring, or Velser's Rim, was an asteroid belt in the Bespin system named after the leader of the survey team that discovered it.
It was the remains of an unstable gas giant in the system's third orbit. Composed of refractive frozen gases and liquids, it appeared as a giant rainbow in space when viewed from certain angles.
Ugnaughts were sent to collect the frozen gases, which were used in the production of lasers, carbon-freezing units and tractor beam helix tubes used on Bespin.
