The Vassek system was a star system in the Wazta sector of the Outer Rim Territories. During the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, the Vassek system was located deep within Confederate space. The planet Vassek's third moon served as the secret location for the castle of the Confederacy's Supreme Commander, General Grievous.
History

Following his escape from Republic custody, Separatist Council member Nute Gunray was believed to have fled to the Vassek system. However, it was merely a ruse, orchestrated by Count Dooku, to lure Jedi into a trap within Grievous's castle in order to test the Separatist General's effectiveness in eliminating Jedi. Kit Fisto was the only survivor of the event, fleeing the system in his Delta-7B Aethersprite-class light interceptor.[2]
