A Kilji known as "Vassal Four" served the Kilji species' government, the Kilji Illumine, as a Kilji vassal, a follower of the Illumine's religious beliefs.[1] In 18 BBY,[2] he served aboard General Crofyp's Kilji war cruiser, the Anvil, at the warship's comm station. After the general's task force, consisting of the Anvil and the Kilji picket cruiser Hammer, arrived in the Unknown Regions' Rapacc system to retrieve refugees, it was confronted by the Paccosh-commandeered Nikardun blockade frigate Aelos.[1]

The general ordered Vassal Four to signal Colonel Tildnis, the Hammer's commander, to move the picket cruiser past the frigate along its portside and proceed to the planet Rapacc. After the Hammer was positioned, the Chiss heavy cruiser Springhawk arrived in the system and destroyed the Anvil while the Hammer fled to hyperspace.[1]

Vassal Four appeared in the 2021 novel Thrawn Ascendancy: Lesser Evil, the final volume in the Star Wars: The Ascendancy Trilogy written by Timothy Zahn.[1]
