Vanilla was a flavoring substance. The sentient Kitonak species exuded a substance from their skin that smelled of vanilla.[1] While in Neshorino on Abednedo, Yrica Quell noted a faint odor of vanilla and dust, and considered it was the natural musk of the Abednedo people.[2]
