The Vandin system was located in the Tharin sector of the Outer Rim Territories in the galaxy. The system was located in grid square S-8 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1]

The Vandin system was mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in the article "Star Systems of the Galaxy" published on StarWars.com on June 24, 2025.[1] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, Vandin is a planet first introduced in the 2015 video game Star Wars: The Old Republic: Knights of the Fallen Empire, the fifth digital expansion to Star Wars: The Old Republic.[2]
