Categories

Just so you know, when adding or changing categories they should be in alphabetical order. Boats1014 (talk) 04:18, 9 June 2023 (UTC)

• Again, categories should be in alphabetical order. So for this article, [[Category:Droids of the Galactic Empire]] would actually go before [[Category:MD-series medical specialist droids]]. Boats1014 (talk) 04:10, 11 June 2023 (UTC)
  • Hiya, thanks for contributing to Wookieepedia! Because our wiki pages run on wikicode, where it's standard to arrange categories in alphabetical order, it would be nice if you can add them alphabetically, like so. However, I've noticed that you seem to be using the Visual Editor on mobile, where it isn't possible for you to add categories alphabetically, so I recommend that you switch to Wookieepedia's "2010 source editor," which you can do so through the editing tab in your Preferences page—the source editor lets you directly edit the code of a page so it allows you to have precise control of your edits, as opposed to the Visual Editor, where bugs are common. Categories

Hello there. In regards to droid categories, you have been adding affiliation-categories that have recently been removed in a overhaul of the entire droid category tree; just because something is listed in the affiliations field of the infobox doesn't mean it belongs in the affiliation category. In fact it's more often than not that the affiliation needs to be removed entirely, as it's inaccurate/over-assuming an affiliation. Please refrain from adding more of those categories, thanks. • As I've said, please stop readding affiliation categories. Just because something's listed in the infobox doesn't mean it belongs in the category; in the majority of cases the infobox is inaccurate. The current affiliation category tree was very deliberately constructed to be accurate and to limit categories to those classes that are expressly affiliated with the various groups, not just any group that uses a vehicle, which is exactly what you've been adding.
