Palpatine's birth date

Hello there! I reverted your last edit to Darth Sidious' page, but I realize my comment wasn't helpful at all, and I'm sorry about that. Let me then explain how that 84 BBY can be deduced simply from reading Tarkin. We're explicitely told in the first chapter that Wilhuff Tarkin is fifty at the time of the book, which we know is 14 BBY thanks to the opening crawl ("Five standard years have passed since Darth Sidious proclaimed himself galactic Emperor.") That puts Tarkin's birth date in 64 BBY. Now, on to Palpatine: in chapter 9, we're told that "Sidious had recognized Tarkin, some twenty years his junior, as a fellow colonial". Ergo, that puts Sidious's birth c. 84 BBY. :-) I hope this helps. --Lelal Mekha The Uprising crest (Audience Room) 07:23, May 1, 2018 (UTC)
