Wookieepedia is the Star Wars encyclopedia that anyone can edit, but we are not a general Star Wars forum nor an all-inclusive trivia site.
In-universe articles are written in past tense and from a neutral point of view. Our Manual of Style and Layout Guide form the basis for writing on Wookieepedia.
All additions to Wookieepedia must be sourced and attributed to a reliable, official source. Fanfiction is welcome on the Star Wars Fanon Wiki.
As a registered Wookieepedia user, you are entitled to a user page and a unique signature. Eventually you will also gain the right to vote on community matters.
Remember to be nice to your fellow Wookieepedians. Avoid making personal attacks and engaging in edit wars. Using multiple accounts is not allowed.

Disambiguation pages

Hi, please do not switch the links for Dark Trooper (disambiguation) and Shadow trooper (disambiguation) with each other in respective articles. Although both trooper types may look alike with all-black armors, those pages exist to list subjects that share the same title. Thank you. Anıl Şerifoğlu (talk) 02:15, 8 March 2023 (UTC)

Hi, please don't remove links from disambiguation pages. There is absolutely no reason to remove them, and they help the reader to easily navigate through the wiki. Credits

Hello! Thanks for your enthusiasm with updating our credits listing, however, after reviewing said edits, I'm going to have to revert those. As they stand, those are low quality edits, with little to no formatting at all, creating walls of text that won't be helpful to readers. So, while the content itself is of interest to Wookieepedia and should definitely be added, it can't stay in the form you've been adding it. I know that adding credits can be tedious, and if you need help to better prepare those edits (like creating a workbench to work on them before finally adding them to the articles), I'd be happy to help. - I'm sorry, but it's really not how we proceed: we strive for quality before completeness. Adding content that is not properly formatted and/or incomplete is both a disservice to the readers and the editing community, as it put pressure on other editors to "correct" those additions. Oh, I forgot to add with my previous message: please take a look at Star_Wars: Episode IV A New Hope#Credits for a good example on how to format this section. Additional pointers: All names should be wikilinked. Yes, it's going to create lots of redlinks, but those would later be useful for editors to find page already associated with a subject.     - Nobody said Wookieepedia was made in a day ;) . As you'll realize, everybody here has a handful of projects that take forever to complete because of the scope of this franchise. Battlefront

Hey, please stop moving the pages for the canon Battlefront games - yes, their titles are only slightly different from the Legends ones, but they are still distinct and thus do not need parenthetical disambiguators. JediMasterMacaroni^(Talk) 01:05, 9 May 2023 (UTC)

Atleast Poof's according to his appearances section does he appear in it so i added it. IDK if he really appears, never read the comic. his death afer his direct appearance in Episode II makes it really weird. maybe just another one of his species or someone trolled.Unkreativefrog (talk) 09:19, 26 May 2023 (UTC)

Moving pages

Hey there! Please note that I've moved the Imperial soldier article back to the title it occupied previously - the way disambiguation works on Wookieepedia (per the Naming policy) is a parenthetical disambiguator is not needed unless there's another page competing for the same title. In this case no other page is titled "Imperial soldier", so the additional descriptor isn't needed - and disambiguation is handled by a Youmay or Otheruses template, or redirects. And speaking of redirects, I'd like to ask that you not move pages around without leaving redirects unless you're absolutely sure of what you're doing. In this case, the page move you made left quite a few pages with a redlink pointing to the title "Imperial soldier". Generally it's best to move pages with leaving redirects, and then clean the redirects up afterwards as necessary. Hope this helps, Imperators II^(Talk) 13:17, 29 May 2023 (UTC)

Yeah but there are also soldiers called Imperial Army Trooper and Stormtrooper and KoTOR's Sith troopers can also be considered "Imperial soldiers". The current titleing is just unnecessary confusing.Unkreativefrog (talk) 16:10, 29 May 2023 (UTC)

Disambiguation pages, Part 2

Hi Unkreativefrog, as I have told you before above, disambiguation pages exist to list subjects that share the same title, which is also clarified in the note generated by {{Disambig}}. So, different Imperial soldiers that do not share the same name at all are generally listed in categories such as Category:Stormtrooper variants and in articles like Stormtrooper#Specialized stormtroopers. - The only listed page with that name was Imperial soldier, the rest are simply soldiers that served an Empire but not named "Imperial soldier." Also, about your edit here, aside from the redundant spaces you have added in the Appearances section, the new section you have written does not have any references, which is not acceptable per our sourcing policy.
