Wookiees-Transparent

Wookieepedia aspires to be a reliable source for all Star Wars fans to read and draw information from, and as such, fan-created continuity and fan fiction are not allowed within our articles. All in-universe material must be attributable to a reliable, published source.

Do not remove talk page and forum comments, including your own, as they are part of the public record. Remember that you should always sign your comments on talk and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~.

For an optimal viewing experience, Wookieepedia recommends using the Monobook skin. For help changing your skin preference, see Help:Skin.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wookieepedian! If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the Senate Hall, visit our official IRC channel, or ask me on my talk page. May the Force be with you! —Exiled Jedi Oldrepublic crest (Greetings) 03:42, April 26, 2015 (UTC)

Creating articles

Hello. When creating articles, please remember that sourcing is required for each one. For in-unverse articles, each article must have an "Appearances" and/or "Sources" section, and out-of-universe articles must have a "Bibliography" or "External links" section. More information on how to do this can be found in our In-universe Layout Guide and Out-of-universe Layout Guide. You can also hop onto IRC for direct help. Thanks. • I know, but as a new user, I'm unable to add external links (do you know when I will be able to?), and regarding Laura Esterman's recording of Hammertong: The Tale of the "Tonnika Sisters", I haven't found a source other than seller pages and fansites, but I know it exists since I've listened to the recording myself. Also, it was already included in the list of audio productions. - Tythan Ranger (talk) 14:39, April 26, 2015 (UTC)
    • I'm not totally clear on the interface's restrictions on external link adding for new users, but I believe you'll be "cleared" three days after registering. If Laura Esterman is credited on the actual recording of Hammertong, then you can add the audio book itself to the Bibliography section as proper verification. And it doesn't matter if the information is already listed someplace else on Wookieepedia. We have a nice saying for this type of situation: "Wookieepedia is not a source." In other words, information must be independently verifiable. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 14:44, April 26, 2015 (UTC)
      • Oh, I know Wookieepedia is not a source. I just noted that the audio was already included, apparently unsourced, on that list. Esterman is indeed credited as the narrator on the recording, so I'll add that and remove the verification tag. Thanks. - Tythan Ranger (talk) 15:31, April 26, 2015 (UTC)
  • When creating articles, you also need to add an applicable category each time. This, too, is explained in the previously linked Layout Guide. I would suggest taking some time to read that so you are fully clear on our article requirements. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 17:01, April 27, 2015 (UTC)
    • How can I see which categories to include (without looking at every single category in Special:Categories) for a given type of page? - Tythan Ranger (talk) 17:53, April 27, 2015 (UTC)

Re: Andi Tolen

Andi Tolen still needs links, some grammar cleanup, and some other formatting; see the Manual of Style and Layout Guide to learn a lot more about formatting. Also, you can check some of the status articles to give you a better feel for formatting. You can't actually name an article in italics, but if you see what I did on Desert Rat here, the title part of the eras template can display the page name in italics. • Okay. I'm still learning the manual of style, but I added all the links I could think of, and I checked the grammar several times and don't see anything I consider an error. - Tythan Ranger (talk) 01:19, April 30, 2015 (UTC)
