Atlas Info

Never used the talk back page before but just in case I posted my response here too:

  • The date of the Big Bang was not identified in the Essential Atlas. Someone else just threw that date out there. The Atlas just says "The galaxy is an estimated 13 billion years old." on page 125. I guess based on currently scientific calculations you could back out the date of the Big Bang considering when the earliest galaxies were formed. Hey there. I actually wrote the original FA version of the article, though it has since fallen into disrepair. The quality level expected from FAs has also risen, so a good maintenance is sorely needed. I'll keep an eye on your work for now—I find that too many writers on a project often results in a mess. Zhug brothers stuff

Here's the review requested on IRC:

  • Context on Duro in the intro. Yeah, planet would be fine.
  • "…against politically connected, rivaling family." I think there needs to be an 'a' after 'against'; not sure however.
  • "After settling to Nar Shaddaa this "family" became collecting money…"
    • 1) You settle /on/ a planet.
    • 2) Comma after Shaddaa.
    • 3) You can't /became/ collecting money, you can /start/ doing it.
  • "…enough to take over…" I suggest you reword that to
  • "During the First Jedi Purge in 3,951 BBY local Exchange crime lord…"
    • 1) Comma after the year. Remember that in almost every case, a year is followed by a comma.
    • 2) Link to crime lord.
  • "…former Jedi Knight Jedi Exile the Zhug brothers were…" Wut?
  • Please find a synonum for "Zhug brothers" in the second paragraph of the intro.

    1. Is "this family" refering to the Zhug brothers or the family that was subjected to "violent acts"?

  • "…the Zhug brothers were eager to collect bounty that was eventually devastating to them."

Speculation

Zhug brothers

  • and soon after got warned of the bounty hunters on the moon trying to collect the bounty over her head by former bounty hunter and Bounty Hunters' Guild leader Vossk, with the Zhugs being among the hunters Vossk mentioned. - This sentence needs to be broken up.
  • I believe that the brothers say some extra things on G0-T0's yacht, so it may be worth looking into that and seeing if any other information can be added.
  • You can't really say that the Exile infiltrated the Visionary since she was technically kidnapped and brought there. The brothers attacked the crew because she had gone to meet with Slusk and the bounty hunter truce was called off. My suggestion would be to rewrite this section a bit stating that while the Exile was occupied elsewhere, the Zhugs attacked the crew of the Ebon Hawk.
    • Further, the only crew members that are on Nar Shaddaa for certain are Bao-Dur, Kreia, Atton and Brianna. We don't know about the others since we don't have a canon answer as to what order the planets were visited or when Visas joined the crew.
  • Now, I would state that the Exile had business with G0-T0 and that is why she was aboard his yacht. Her companions joined her and that is when more Zhugs attacked. Don't worry about the cloaking device. That only adds confusion.
  • When it comes to Dxun, simply state that it was in the midst of a civil war and that both ships had been shot down in the ensuing battle.
  • In the Bts, you need to explain how and why the Exile's companions were trying to save her. The average reader of this article will be unfamiliar with the details of the game, so must make sure to explain as much as possible, without adding too much weight.

Dezanti review

Hey Tm, here is the pre-nom review you asked for.

  • In the intro, I would remove all of the information about Azanti's attack on the Exile and simply call it an earlier failed attack or something similar.
  • He and two of his fellow Zhug brothers survived and tried to kill the Jedi Exile, but died in the attempt. - This makes it sound as if there were more many Zhugs on the ship, but only these three survived. We don't know that for sure.
  • When the Exile was invited to meet the Exchange representative and consequently trapped by the crime organization, the bounty hunters believed that the the truce was off, and began their hunt. - This needs to be a bit more clear. Who was the representative and why was she to meet that individual? What truce?
  • Azanti Zhug and other Zhug brothers eventually attacked the Exile and her companions without Dezanti Zhug on the "Smuggler's Moon" and aboard the Visionary unsuccessfully. - This is a bit unclear. First, only the companions were attacked the first time since the Exile was already G0-T0s prisoner. Secondly, you need to give a little context as to why they attacked the Exile and her companions on the Visionary.
  • Dezanti stated that he wouldn't fail like the other Zhugs had before him, continuing with threats. - Continuing with which threats? This needs to be written a bit more clearly.
  • The P/T could probably use a bit more context. Exactly why was he disrespectful? Also how exactly did he express his dislike of deal-breaking?
  • These are the biggest issues that I see right now. Let me know when you've taken care of them and I'll take another look at the article. Cylka-talk- 03:25, October 16, 2010 (UTC)

Revan

I know Revan is a controversial and hot topic but what I wrote about Revan's Tomb was true. There WAS a trailer for Star Wars: The Old Republic that involved Revan's Tomb and HK-47 WAS guarding it.
