Hello, TheLoner, and welcome to Wookieepedia! We hope you like the place and choose to join us in building the best Star Wars encyclopedia there is. Here are some things you should know:
New to wikis? Don't worry, we were all new once. Our help pages will get you started, and the Jundland Wastes sandbox can be used for test edits. Don't be afraid to make mistakes—be bold! I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wookieepedian! If you have any questions, you can consult our FAQ, ask a question in the Senate Hall forum, visit our official IRC channel, or leave me a message on my talk page. |
Freemakers
Thanks for your edits to the Freemakers. Please keep in mind that all content needs to be sourced and verified. Please see Wookieepedia:Sourcing and Wookieepedia:Layout Guide for more information. Hope to see you around and may the Force be with you.Andykatib 10:17, March 8, 2020 (UTC)
- Please also keep in mind that Wookieepedia does not allow Fanon or fan-created material. Much as I appreciated your little fan fiction story about the Freemakers after the Battle of Endor, we can only include information from licensed sources produced by Lucasfilm Ltd., Marvel Comics, Dark Horse Comics, Del Rey, IDW Publishing, Electronic Arts, BioWare and other licensed publishers. Your content may be welcome on the Star Wars Fanon Wiki. Thanks very much. Andykatib 10:39, March 8, 2020 (UTC)
- Hi there, I replied to your post on my talk page but have also let a message here. If you have a source, please always remember to add the references when writing them. I had a look at the LEGO Star Wars: All-Stars episodes where the Freemakers appear including "Yub Nub!" and "The Power at Jakku". While they did mention that the Freemakers fought at the Battle of Jakku, Zander Freemaker fathering Moxie Freemaker, and Kordi Freemaker becoming a Senator in the New Republic, they didn't mention anything about Rowan Freemaker returning to Alistan Nor and become a Jedi Master there. None of the sources that Becky Smoochenbacher mention her marrying Zander. She was his love interest but nothing more. If you have a source that supports these facts, please share it with me. Thanks. - Hi again. There is a tweet by Leland Chee from the Lucasfilm Story Group dating back to November 2018 saying that Becky Smoochenbacher is the wife of Zander and mother of Moxie. However, Wookieepedia adopted a policy on January 21, 2018 stating that social media posts are "not a valid source of in-universe information." Wookieepedia policy states that "The only social media posts allowed as independent sources of in-universe information are from official Star Wars brand accounts, such as the official Star Wars Twitter and Facebook page. Posts from Story Group members and authors may be used in out-of-universe pages and page sections as needed, such as to document authorial intent or background development." Please see Forum:CT:Social media posts as canon sources and Wookieepedia:Canon policy#New canon. The Twitter channel "Freemaker Facts" is also not affiliated with Lucasfilm/LEGO, making it an unofficial source. Hope this helps clarify the situation. Andykatib 22:06 March 8, 2020 (UTC)
