Diversity Alliance
Can you please help me improve the article of another minor government the Diversity Alliance. I have added lots of imformation into it though it doesn't have style and there are not enough images. What should I do about it? Should it go under improvement drive. Can you please also change the color of the infobox. The brown colour doesn't look very nice. MyNz - Zainal 20:33, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
- Looks like RMF already took care of the color of the infobox. I'll see what I can do about lengthening the intro and tightening up the text, because the article currently looks like it had blocks of text lifted directly from the Nolaa Tarkona and Bornan Thul articles. User infobox
Hi. I am just notifying you that you might want to update the user infobox code on your user page because I am deleting my old subpages and the template your infobox links to will soon cease to exist. I updated the main user infobox template, so you can just replace the template call "User:Sentry/Template:user infobox" with "user infobox". ;) –Sentry [Talk] 10:15, 25 June 2006 (UTC)

If you are still having difficulty, let me know. StarNeptuneTalk to me! 10:45, 4 July 2006 (UTC)

Hey this is Sammantha and i just checked out the FAQ and im tryin to make a custom sig but i can't figure out how to make it with color????? please help me asap plzplzplzplz.
- Which color did you want to use? There is a list of colors available here. The specific code for color is <span style="color:(color here)">. So to add color to your sig (i'll use forest green for this example), you would use the code: [[User:Sammantha|<b><span style="color: #228B22">Sammantha</span></b>]][[User talk:Samanntha|Talk]], which would result in this: SammanthaTalk. Hope this helps! StarNeptuneTalk to me! 16:50, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
Voting
Hi, I am new here, and I don't know where to find an answer to my question. How do you vote for a featured article. I want to vote for Tenel Ka, but I don't know how. —Unsigned comment by Zinnos (talk • contribs)
- To vote for a Feature Article, go to the FA page. Next to Tenel Ka's name, over to the right, there should be a link that says [edit]. Click it, and you should be taken to an edit screen. Under the last name on the list, you would add the following:
#~~~~
- That code adds your name and the date to the list. StarNeptuneTalk to me! 15:20, 4 July 2006

R5-D4
hey star there are sources stating he is a jedi sources on this site. The source is one of Dark Horses comic books, I belive Starwars Tales #5. The story goes like this one day obi-wan-kenobi [after his exile] walks into jabba's palace. He senses someone strong with the force he looks around but doesn't find anyone. then he looks at an R5 unit [R5-D4 a.k.a skippy the droid jedi] the droid is serving drinks. Then the droid bumps into Boba Fett a drink falls, but then he uses the force to catch it in thin air.Nobody notices except kenobi. they also say he used the force to damage himself so skywalker can't take him, instead he takes R2-D2 so he will not be destroyed by the stormtroopers raid on the sandcrawler before he can deliver the messege.
- R5-D4 being a Jedi is non-canon. I think it even mentions this in the R5-D4 article. StarNeptuneTalk to me! 16:53, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

New template
- Star Neptune, I was looking for a fight (not to START a fight, but find one in progress) so I could show off the template I made: Template: Argument. Well, I started and Sentry made it look cooler. I think it's cool and as your talk page seems to receive a disproportionally high amount of invective, immature "discussion", and general screwing around, I thought I might try to spread some interest. I come in peace- Atarumaster88 20:40, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

- Ah. I apologize then. Is your template for user talk pages, or for talk pages in the main namespace? StarNeptuneTalk to me! 21:31, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
- I think it can be used for anywhere senseless arguing is occurring. I guess just any talk page. Atarumaster88 21:36, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
- Ok. I tweaked it a bit to reflect that it's a catch-all template for arguments. Hope you don't mind. StarNeptuneTalk to me! 21:45, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

Plo Koon
- StarNeptune, I noticed your post on the Force Whirlwind page related to Plo Koon, and I believe the source you are looking for is Jedi Force Files as mentioned under "alter environment" power. Still ambiguous if you ask me, but does that answer your question? Atarumaster88 21:49, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
- I have no way to verify it myself, but if you say it's there, then I believe you. I was just suspicious about that addition due to all the Plo Koon fanwankery that goes on around here (or used to go on around here...hasn't been as bad recently). StarNeptuneTalk to me! 18:43, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
- Well, I don't have the source- I was looking on Wookieepedia. Apparently, it's from the Power of the Jedi pamphlets that came with the action figure. It would be worth asking anyone who HAS the source. Hmm- <insert flash of intuition> this gives me an idea. I'll check into it. Atarumaster88 18:46, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
- I asked the source: User:Bly1993 and he said that it is not fanon. I don't know if you even remember this discussion, but hey, it was only a month or so. Happy editing and may your ban stick fly straight and true. Atarumaster88 20px (Audience Chamber) 23:40, 6 September 2006 (UTC)

Hi Star, I talked about this right before the last mofference but you weren't there yet. So basically I didn't know you took care of it (no update on the Senate Hall), so I took it upon myself to, at least, write an email to the admins of this french site but without sending it as I felt it should be sent by an admin. I was willing to drop it but the other guys told me to submit it to you in case you need to send a reminder or something... Would you need my assistance on this matter ? --Petiflo 17:21, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

I'll probably end up modifying the form letter from French Wikipedia, but I'd also be interested to see what you have written. Sincerely,

- If you like to read and create nonsense articles, I recommend Unencyclopedia or Encyclopedia Dramatica. Wookieepedia is not the place for them. StarNeptuneTalk to me! 19:31, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
You claim that I wright nonsence articles. Guess what all of these things are all nonsence in the real world because they are all fiction and there for do not exist. Well any way thats enough about that. The article is gone, you win. Now let's talk about those damn french people.
- Actually, StarNeptune, in my opinion, Uncyclopedia (not "Unencyclopedia") is way better than ED. And they don't accept outward nonsense. As for you, the unsigned user, I'd advise you to sign your posts, be polite and notice the difference between fiction and nonsense, as well as between canon and fanon. - Sikon (Vacation) 19:47, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

Userboxes
- Is this your talk page? Apparently so. There seems to have been no reason to clear out the userbox page. There were a lot of proposals, so what? More and more it seems that Wookieepedians are figuratively full of it, and if they are given power they will use it unjudiciously. Wookieepedia as a site is rather useful. However, its leadership and the general attitude of a lot of the Wookieepedians are extremely dismal. Exp.Fl.Cmndr. Mitth'raw'nuruodo 02:13, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
- You're overreacting.--Darth OblivionComlink30px
- Indeed. Just because your userboxes were not voted for (the ratio was 10/1 mind you) is no reason to get bent out of shape. Your userpage is not the purpose of Wookieepedia. --RedemptionTalk 15px 02:42, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
- I'm sorry if you feel I was unjudicious, but there were numerous complaints about the amount and quality of the proposals on the both the page itself, and in a forum thread. When there is that large an outcry, then it is my duty as an admin to step in and do something about it. Maybe you disagree with my methods (and that is your right), but calling me a dictator because you disagree with it is not the best way to go about it. My watchlist mentioned that you made some kind of addition to my user page, but I'm not sure what. Is there any way I can find out without having to bug you next time? Hope you had a good vacation. Jwebb1340px 22:55, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
- The {{user death}} template was deleted, so she just replaced the template call on your user page with the raw HTML code.–SentryTalk 23:15, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
- According to my history, you edited my page too. I think it must be some kind of error, especially since there were no changes. Don't worry about though. Have fun playing Xenosaga Episode III.--Darth OblivionComlink20px 03:45, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
- My mistake. Compared the wrong two versions. Thanks for editing the userbox.--Darth OblivionComlink20px 04:07, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
Why?
Why did you revert the featured article nominations? Am I not allowed to nominate something? Kalas Grengar 19:46, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
- The Force is already a Featured Article. StarNeptuneTalk to me! 19:50, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
Oh... didn't see that. Sorry. Kalas Grengar 19:53, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
Wikipedia vs. Wookieepedia
From QuentinGeorge's talk page:
"And are you implying that the Wikipedia model is some sort of god that we should all bow down before? We are not Wikipedia, and we have our own way of doing things. Because of issues that have arisen in the past, we don't allow "Criticism" sections on author pages. StarNeptuneTalk to me! 18:40, 12 September 2006 (UTC)"
I was asking, basically, "If something is acceptable on Wikipedia, and this site is modeled after Wikipedia, why would it not be acceptable here?"
Part of the appeal of Wikipedia and other wiki sites is that users can get involved without feeling as though somebody is breathing down their neck. When I contribute to Wikipedia articles, I feel secure in the knowledge that as long as what I'm writing is true, it will not be deleted by another user, let alone the managers of the site. Nobody wants to feel bullied. The people who run Wikipedia only get directly involved when things get very much out of hand. They give me and other users leeway, and I appreciate that.
When I began adding content to this site, I assumed it was similar to Wikipedia and http://wowwiki.com (which I have also contributed to). I'd written a good deal of material for both sites. Of the material I posted on those sites, almost none of it was completely deleted. On the rare occasions when something I posted was deleted in its entirety, the person deleting it always explained the reason for it and did so considerately.
By contrast, the content I added to the KJA entry was deleted in its entirety, and one of the reasons given was that it was "poorly written." Most people will take take as an insult; I certainly do. I take pride in my writing, and when somebody tells me that I'm a crappy writer I will be angry with them and I do feel that my anger is justified.
Now, to be fair, I didn't reference any polls or anything backing up my assertion that people didn't like Anderson's work because of the quality of the villains. Fine. But, let's say I found such a poll, or an article about Anderson and what kind of esteem the majority of EU fans hold him in. Let's say I included a link to that article or poll. Are you telling me that the link would be promptly deleted? That I'd be reprimanded for putting it there in the first place? Even though it's FACT?
I don't know how things are done here, since I've been here only a few weeks, but on Wikipedia, people compromise. If two different users want to describe, say, the Vietnam War in different ways, the Vietnam War article gets edited until the finished product is something both users can live with. But here on Wookieepedia, I get the impression that compromise isn't an option. It's not "let's work together on this", it's "do what we tell you." Here on Wookieepedia, it seems like the managers are saying "If you write anything we disagree with we're going to delete it, and if you have a problem with that, we'll ban your ass." That's just not cool at all.--HanShotFirst 04:46, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
- HanShotFirst, if you want to know why we don't allow criticism sections, please visit Wookieepedia:Votes for deletion/Quote:Karen Traviss. You don't really understand the politics of the Star Wars fan community. Its not a pretty picture and there are frequent stupid fights between various factions such as those Galactic Empire lovers, Fandalorians, Jedi-worshippers and fanonists like SuperShadow. The reason why we don't include that many topics on those factions and their arguments is because they lead to fights between fans and they are not worth recording at all.
Also, realise that Star Wars is just a man-made science fiction series written by men. All humans are imperfect and we sometimes make mistakes. I agree with you that there are flaws in the Star Wars universe but it will be near impossible to get George Lucas or those various authors to correct them. I am not a fan at all at the moment, I am just here on Wookieepedia to protect the site. MyNz 09:46, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

- StarNeptune, as you are an administrator, you might be interested in a proposed policy change known as Forum:Administrator Voting. It's on consensus track, but I thought it would be better to get more opinions. Atarumaster88 20px (Audience Chamber) 19:04, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
Jedi Exile vandalism
- Thanks for helping stop Punch it, Chewie!!!! That was unusual. Atarumaster88 20px (Audience Chamber) 23:44, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
- No prob. He's probably just one of the sad sacks that can't accept that the Exile is female and has to vandalize to vent his frustration. StarNeptuneTalk to me! 23:46, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
- Well, that's the 4th vandal I've helped bust. Funny though- after creating those fake Exile pages he went after Nebulax. Atarumaster88 20px (Audience Chamber) 23:51, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

- The recent guy, User:Lucius Funk, was not a vandal. His userpage had been vandalized by User:LuciusFunk, who was a vandal. -- SFH 00:05, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
Tenel Ka Djo
Thanks for fixing that.--Darth OblivionComlink30px 18:23, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
- No problem...although I don't get why he didn't just use the move tab, considering he used it on the Tusken Raider article. Oh well. StarNeptuneTalk to me! 18:29, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
Fanon wiki question
So, uh, why did you block me from editing on the SW fanon wiki, if you don't mind me asking. It said something about my home IP address being within a AOL vandalism range or something, but I wasn't sure what that meant. Jwebb1340px 02:45, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
- It measn you're caught up in an AOL IP block. It's not anything you did...it's something others AOl users did to get that range blocked. StarNeptuneTalk to me! 04:05, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
S.Crumb
I'm aware it's sheilded, but can you do me a favor. I can't get to it, But I uploaded a great main image for that article and was wondering if you could replace the old one with this:
Thanks, Jabbathehuttgartogg(Rancor pit)

Sakura Avalon
User talk:Sakura Avalon contains a request for unblock. How has this user behaved on the fanon wiki? Should she be unblocked, but watched? —Silly Dan (talk) 18:51, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
- She has redeemed herself, and is worthy of an unblock. StarNeptuneTalk to me! 20:35, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

Hapes template
Star, can you create the Hapes template? The last time I checked at least 5 or more users had their template on that page. Jaina Solo(Goddess Stuff) 25px 00:59, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
- They do? I only know of me, you and Breathes. Then again, I haven't checked in a while. StarNeptuneTalk to me! 01:01, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
- Yes the last time I checked. Jaina Solo(Goddess Stuff) 25px 01:03, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
- I still see only me, you and Breathes, but since it seems to have support on WP:UP (Although I have my doubts on whether or not anyone else that voted for it will use it) I shall restore it. StarNeptuneTalk to me! 01:14, 5 October 2006 (UTC)

For ending that fight, i don't know what the tension is with Ugluk, maybe you could leave a message and try to get him to calm down. Jedi Dude 23:40, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
Stupid Crap find
Thought you might be amused by this one. Someone recently added to Mara Jade's page the following under "Relationships to other characters":
- Mara is somehow related to Misty from Pokemon, as they both have red hair.

this is my first time to make a comment. could you e mail me and tell me where and how to get to the answer of this question?: did Quinlan and Khaleen ever get married? email: bountyhunter92@bellsouth.net thanks,

Sockpuppets or "alternate accounts"
- Look, I'm not an admin so I really could care less, but I have now seen two users with "alternate accounts." I'm not exactly sure what our policy is on that, but both User:Crion and User:Jacen are the same people, as are User:CountDooku13 (who actually has a third psuedonym in the form of IG-Prime, although I don't think it's a registered account) and User:DarthNihilus. Do with this as you see fit. Atarumaster88 20px (Audience Chamber) 04:06, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
- Thank you for informing me. I'll look into it. StarNeptuneTalk to me! 16:52, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

Nagai-Tof War FA
Hey, I was wondering if your objection to the Nagai-Tof War (intro too short) still stands on the FA page? If not, do you think you could strike it? Cull Tremayne 18:20, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
