Template:user wookiee

Now that it's an official userbox, should I make a category for it? - Yoshi626 22:35, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

  • I just did it for you :)–SentryTalk 22:42, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

Userbox Annoyances

Hey Sentry. I might need you to look at a section in my userpage where my userboxes are. What I have now is a mess and I'm puzzled as to why <br="clear all"> doesn't work. I'm currently converting over from a right margin series of infoboxes to a centered cluster of three per row to save space on the side in other sections and to generally improve the page's appearance. I believe you have the ability to edit the page though protected from non-admins. -- Riffsyphon1024 08:05, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

  • Okay, I'm on it…–SentryTalk 08:41, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
    • K, I arranged your userboxes in three rows. How does it look? Is that what you were going for?–SentryTalk 09:17, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
      • Yes, although with my screen resolution I have a tad bit of overhang on the third column, though that is due to our adspace versus Wikipedia's full use of the margin. Perhaps it looks better on a larger res. -- Riffsyphon1024 10:05, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
        • Yeah, those ads are pain. Unfortunately, due to the width of the userboxes, there isn't anything I can do to make it look better :-( –SentryTalk 21:10, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

VFD changes

Hey. I put Wookiee Villager up for VFD earlier, clicked the "create a VFD discussion page" link and created the page but the incomplete message stayed on the article instead of the normal VFD message. Green Tentacle (Talk) 15:47, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

  • Yeah, it is either a browser or server cache issue. It will sort itself out within 24 hours.
Sorry I didn't reply earlier… I haven't had power, phone, or cable access for 4 days. We had a really nasty wind storm in the pacific northwest ([1]).–SentryTalk 06:53, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

Imperial Emblem

Hi Sentry. I saw that you improved the Imperial Emblem in the Galactic Empire-Article. This may sound fastidious, and yes, it is veery fastidious. But I think the "real", simplest imperial logo should be black on white background. The actual one is white in a black circle. If you invert the actual one, you'll have a black one with a white circle around it. The additional circle is not a necessary feature of the emblem. So I would say: away with it. I think it is unimportant whether the logo is black on white or vice-versa, but it really doesn't need an additional ring. Sorry for making so much babble to you.--TeakHoken84.173.27.57 18:19, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

Re:

Thank you for helping me fix up my sig, I think it's fixed now. -Solus 00:06, 24 December 2006 (UTC)

  • Sorry I'm so naive about this, thank you for the help. Is this okay? -Solus 00:22, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
    • Sorry I keep on doing it wrong... I tried to fix it, here's the code, if anything else is wrong, you can go ahead and directly edit it from this:

<span style="color: A1A1A1">S</span><span style="color: blue">olus</span><span style="color: black"> (Bird of Pre</span><span style="color: black">y)</span>

Image for deletion

Um... where do I go to keep the image from being deleted? I went to the images for deletion page and I didn't see anything. -Solus (Bird of Prey) 02:28, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

Revan/Exile gender

Hey, I liked your comment on gender stereotypes and Revan/Exile. Very interesting perspective. I don't think anyone has ever thought about that before. KEJ 00:31, 28 December 2006 (UTC)

Sig

At Silly Dan's request I already made my picture smaller (i.e. 20 px) I'll change the color in a minute. Jagged Fel, the man formerly known as Humorbot (Yo!)20px

  • Also, When it says one color, I assume that means one color throughout (see mine for instance) is that right? Or are people allowed a spearate color for the User Page link? Jagged Fel, the man formerly known as Humorbot (Yo!)20px
    • Hmmm… I believe that the CT thread meant one color throughout, but I personally don't mind if you use two shades of the same color.–SentryTalk 22:22, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

Uncategorized pages

I'm trying to help out by categorizing any uncategorized articles, but I'm always having to try and find a category that won't result in a redlink. Is there a list of accepted Wookieepedia categories that I can refer to when choosing how to categorize an article, or do I have to keep up the same hit-or-miss approach? Jwebb13HoloNet40px 04:07, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

  • Sorry, there isn't a list as far as I know. In order to figure out which pages go in which categories, you have to do it the hard way. Usually you just have to browse the category tree (starting with Category:Star Wars) until you find a category that fits. After a while, you will memorize the category names and it will get easier.–Sentry Talk 04:27, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
    • I saw the note about those lists being reserved for admins, so I'll stay off them until I decide whether or not to nominate myself for inclusion in that lofty group. Since no one seems to mind, I'm going to continue helping out with categorizations and things in the meantime, as I could use the practice. If there's anything else I can do to help out around here, just let me know. Jwebb13HoloNet40px 02:08, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
      • Hey, we can always use all the help that we can get with the tasks listed on that page and I think it is awesome that you have volunteered. I just removed you from the list because it was intended for admins and your name might have caused some confusion. Believe me, don't take it the wrong way because your efforts are much appreciated. =) –SentryTalk 03:26, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
        • What can I say? I love this site, even more than the glorious reference tool that is Wikipedia. Of course, someone could always just nominate me for adminship and remove all confusion.... ;) Talk to you later. Jwebb13HoloNet40px 22:37, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

Wol Cabbassh

I think I completely messed up the Wol Cabbassh page. I have no clue what I'm doing. I wanted to add this picture as the actual planet of Wol Cabbassh But It just wouldn't work Please help
http://img.that-bucket-with-photos.com/albums/v110/droidekas/cabba.jpgUnsigned comment by User:Mike SS (talk • contribs)

  • Hello and welcome to the wiki!
Now on to business. First, is that image fan made? I ask because Wol Cabassh is a planet developed from the What's the Story? contest and unfortunately we do not accept fanart. Also, you should upload images to the server rather than linking to an external source. For general editing info, check out: Help:Editing. Cheers, SentryTalk 23:22, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

Thanks

Hey, just wanted to say thanks for fixing my userboxes. I asked three other people but they couldn't help me. So, thanks a lot Sentry. Chack Jadson 14:22, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

  • No problem. I actually saw your request for help on Sikon's talk page a few days ago. It inspired me to finally do some repairs on the user infobox template and to delete the crappy infobox container template that I made a while back.
Anyway, if you need any more help, feel free to ask. Cheers, SentryTalk 22:50, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

Something that may need to be deleted

Hey Sentry, I've recently spotted the remnants of a talk page to a deleted article: Talk:Science of a Sarlacc. Since the article was deleted, shouldn't Talk:Science of a Sarlacc be deleted? Brain40

  • Thanks for the heads up. It looks like QuentinGeorge deleted it [2].–SentryTalk 06:05, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
