Welcome, Scorch1162!Hello and welcome to Wookieepedia. I hope you like the place and choose to join our work. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
Wookieepedia aspires to be a reliable source for all Star Wars fans to read and draw information from, and as such, fan-created continuity and fan fiction are not allowed within our articles. All in-universe material must be attributable to a reliable, published source. Do not remove talk page and forum comments, including your own, as they are part of the public record. Remember that you should always sign your comments on talk and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~. For an optimal viewing experience, Wookieepedia recommends using the Monobook skin. For help changing your skin preference, see Help:Skin. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wookieepedian! If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the Senate Hall, visit our official IRC channel, or ask me on my talk page. May the Force be with you! —SFH (talk) 03:08, September 10, 2013 (UTC) |
4,300 BBY
Actually, Scorch, I have access to the KOTOR dialog files, and there's nothing that says anything about 4,300 BBY. The only quote is "They say Taris is the Coruscant of the Outer Rim. But this world is nothing but crumbling buildings and urban waste!" You can't base articles off of what you read on Wookieepedia; there's quite a bit of fanon, especially in the timeline and era articles. Cade Calrayn 02:29, September 16, 2013 (UTC)
702 BBY
Heya, Scorch. Just a heads-up, you really do need to check the original source when you're creating a year article. Most of the year redlinks that exist across Wookieepedia are fanon dates, and they're not to be trusted—for instance, 702 BBY was actually c. 737 BBY, as Planet of Twilight (which is set in 13 ABY) says that the penal colony was established around 750 years before the novel. Please, be sure to check the primary source. Thanks, and keep up the good work. Cade Calrayn 17:12, October 16, 2013 (UTC)
