Peace Brigade
SG, we cannot simply copy information word for word from another website, other than Wikipedia. Wikipedia is the only place an article can be copied over to here from, because everything is put into the public domain, but everything must be reworded. And even if you acknowledge its copied, please say where from so I can check. I will apply a copy-vio template to the article until it is rewritten. No hard feelings, but that is how the wiki works. -- Riffsyphon1024 18:43, 26 Apr 2005 (UTC)
Search
Hey SGCommand. Please be sure to search for an article before creating a new one. It will help avoid the creation of duplicate articles that already exist and make it more difficult to move them, as was the case with Cody and Commander Cody. Thanks.--SparqMan 20:27, 20 May 2005 (UTC)
- The Commander Cody article. I was just following the link from one of the articles User:SGCommand
I understand, but always search before creating a new article.--SparqMan 20:27, 20 May 2005 (UTC)
List of Moffs
In case you don't see it at Wikipedia, I will say this again. WHY did you copy the List of moffs to Wikipedia? You know that only Tarkin is worthy enough there, and no other one will be covered in such detail like they can be here. Do not do it again. -- Riffsyphon1024 10:38, 11 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Riffsyphon1024, don't we operate under the same open rules that Wikipedia does? If a user wants to copy content over to Wikipedia, its their prerogative. It's up to the Wikipedia community to decide if it has a place on their project or not. --SparqMan 01:48, 12 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- That's not what he meant, Sparq. You see, several members at Wikipedia think that only major characters from movies and such are "worthy" of having their own page. A list of moffs, consisting of tens of names, seems useless if only 2-3 of them are "worthy". --Imperialles 01:52, 12 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Yes, according to Wikipedia, one must be "notable" to get an article. Only two moffs are notable, that were in the movies, Tarkin and Jerjerrod. The rest is for us here, and how would anyone expect to fill them all if we don't even have but a handful of them. -- Riffsyphon1024 01:57, 12 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Deletion request complete
- In the future, you'll probably get better results by adding a {{Delete}} template to an article you need deleted. And other requests for admin attention should go on the admin noticeboard (or pop in on IRC) because you never know which one admin will actually be available. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 13:45, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
Delete template
- Yep, there's a delete template. Just type {{Delete}} or {{Deletebecause|reason}} at the top of an article you think qualifies for expedited elimination. Sometimes it will get deleted right away, other times it will get merged, reworked, or turned into a VFD if an admin feels too much effort has gone into it to be summarily executed. Any user subpage will be deleted as soon as someone notices it has been tagged by its author/owner. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 13:31, 26 October 2006 (UTC)

User page edits
Hey SGCommand. It was brought to my attention that you have made a significant amount of edits to user pages, and almost no main space edits -- something like over 800 edits and 97% of them to user pages. As it stands now, you are in violation of our user page policy. Please start contributing to main space edits, or administrative action will need to be taken. Thank you. Cylka-talk- 15:47, 12 May 2009 (UTC)
- Sure, that would be great. You would actually be surprised how quickly your edit count can go up by simply fixing spelling and grammar mistakes. If you need any help or have any questions, let me know. Cylka-talk- 16:23, 12 May 2009 (UTC)
- Per our user page policy I have protected your user pages from being edited. I'm sorry to do this, but you were warned about it in May and in the 5 months since you have made over 116 user page edits with only 6 main space edits, meaning you're user page edits still make up over 97% of all your edits. Per our policy I have protected your pages until you can show that you are making useful edits and not just using us as a host for your own pages. Thank you. Grunny (Talk) 00:21, October 26, 2009 (UTC)
30px You have been blocked from editing for for 1 month for continuing to make excessive user page edits following multiple warnings. You have made no concentrated attempt to rectify this and when your pages were protected in accordance with policy you created more, which have now been deleted. Please reconsider your editing approach and when you return try to make content edits to avoid further policy breaches. To contest this block, please contact the blocking administrator with the reason you believe the block is unjustified. Grunny (Talk) 15:11, January 15, 2010 (UTC)
Sourcing & Manual of Style
Hey SGCommand! Please note that per the Manual of Style a subject "should be linked once upon its [..] first mention in the article's main body". Also, you must source every bit of information you add to articles. That's why I've reverted the changes you made to the article about 138 ABY. Please make sure you familiarize yourself with those and other policies before any further editing. Thank you. Imperators II(Talk) 09:16, May 29, 2011 (UTC)
- Hey SGCommand, please remember again that everything should be linked once upon its first mention in the body. Your recent edit here was reverted because the Hapes Consortium was already linked earlier on. Also, the article is currently {{Inuse}}; as the template requests, please avoid editing an article while that tag is up, so as to prevent edit conflicts. Thank you. Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 21:56, May 22, 2012 (UTC)
- Consortium is not a disambiguation page. It does not have the {{disambig}} template; nor is it even manually categorized as a disambiguation page. Anyway, if you think you see a problem with an article that has an {{{inuse}} tag on it, the appropriate course of action is to make note of the problem either on the article's talk page or on the talk page of the user writing the article. Thank you. Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 22:25, May 22, 2012 (UTC)
- Also, please fix your signature; it currently does not link to your user page. Thank you. Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 22:27, May 22, 2012 (UTC)
