Welcome, Rudi Pudi!

Hello, Rudi Pudi, and welcome to Wookieepedia! We hope you like the place and choose to join us in building the best Star Wars encyclopedia there is. Here are some things you should know:
New to wikis? Don't worry, we were all new once. Our welcome page has everything you need to get started, and the Jundland Wastes sandbox can be used for test edits. Don't be afraid to make mistakes—be bold! I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wookieepedian! If you have any questions, you can consult our FAQ, ask a question in the Senate Hall forum, visit our official Discord server, or leave me a message on my talk page. |
Referencing
Heya, Rudi. Thanks so much for the edits you've been making; we don't have a lot of folk updating these pages. We do require that everyone do their own referencing work, however, to save others having to follow in and do it after each time. For example, instead of noting the source the information came from in the edit summary, you'd insert:
<ref name="BOOKNAME">''[[BOOKNAME]]''</ref>
at the end of the sentences/paragraphs you're adding to reference it. A couple of editors have added these references to the edits made thus far, and what that looks like can be found here. If you need any further help with referencing, feel free to reach out either via my talk page, or, general editing advice is always available in Wookieepedia's Discord.—spookywillowwtalk 20:31, 2 April 2025 (UTC)
Attribution
Hey there! Just wanna let you know that when adding an information from a separate source, it is preferable to attribute them separately rather than stacking multiple sources like you did here. I'm going revert the edits for now as to not confuse readers with the mixed-up sources. Feel free to separate them appropriately whenever possible. Cheers! Bonzane10

- Giving you a visual example in case what I said was still unclear, do (
Blank was a Jedi<ref name="Source 1" /> from Coruscant<ref name="Source 2" />) and not (Blank was a Jedi from Coruscant<ref name="Source 1" /><ref name="Source 2" />). That way we would minimize confusion by readers and avoid misattribution. Also keep in mind of Spooky's advice above. Thanks! Bonzane10
