Use of forums

The Senate Hall's topic isn't Star Wars, exactly: it's Wookieepedia. That's why certain Star Wars questions are off-topic for that forum, while a thread on usernames is on-topic. It's also important when using the forums to try and stay calm, not immediately resort to angry rhetoric like "just a fucking question", "some douchebag deleted it before anyone could read", or "Nerds, get over it". As for the original question about character names: that would have been on-topic for the Knowledge Bank forum, but your question was a bit unclear. I think the anonymous user at 96.240.193.169 may have mistaken your question for a request for fanfic writing advice. We had to delete the threads anyway, since they spun so far off topic so quickly. Anyway, the origins of character names are too big of a topic to address in one forum thread. If there's a specific character you're wondering about, discussion of name origins may be in the Behind the Scenes section of the article.
