Welcome, Reylo3!

Hello, Reylo3, and welcome to Wookieepedia! We hope you like the place and choose to join us in building the best Star Wars encyclopedia there is. Here are some things you should know:

Wookiees-Transparent

New to wikis? Don't worry, we were all new once. Our welcome page has everything you need to get started, and the Jundland Wastes sandbox can be used for test edits. Don't be afraid to make mistakes—be bold!

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wookieepedian! If you have any questions, you can consult our FAQ, ask a question in the Senate Hall forum, visit our official IRC and Discord channels, or leave me a message on my talk page.
May the Force be with you! —Imperators II(Talk) 21:29, 7 October 2022 (UTC)

Using Talk pages

Welcome to Wookieepedia! First off, I'd like to invite you to consider logging on to Wookieepedia's Discord chat server; it's even easier to use on mobile than editing talk pages is. If you would still like to leave a talk page message, however, you should do this:

0. Log onto Wookieepedia from a computer or view Wookieepedia as a desktop site in your mobile device's browser (unfortunately using the default mobile skin can lead to somewhat problematic experiences and is not really encouraged at this point).

  1. Go to a user's page.
  2. Go to the "Talk" tab (to the right of the "About" tab; on the menu between their profile image (if any) and the actual content of their user page (if any)).
  3. When you thus open the talk page, on the right you should see a button "Add Topic" appear.
  4. When you click that, enter the message's title and content in the corresponding fields and click "Save changes".
  5. That should be it, and don't forget to check your talk page at least occasionally for any replies. :) Hope that helps! Imperators II(Talk) 21:29, 7 October 2022 (UTC)
  • Hey there! You're absolutely welcome! Note that, when posting talk page messages, you should always end them by typing four tildes, like this: ~~~~ - that automatically generates your signature that by default will include a link to your userpage and a timestamp. Also, now that you've learned how to use talk pages, you can feel free to use your user page to tell others more about yourself (if you wish) and then get on to the truly fun part - editing the Wook! If you have any questions, feel free to direct them at me or other editors around here. And thank you - Kylo did have his moments! :) Cheers, Imperators II(Talk) 13:36, 8 October 2022 (UTC)

Best Star Wars Duo

Hello There! , I'm new to Wookieepedia, so if this isn't what you're talk page is for then someone give me a heads up, So...Which star wars duo do you think is the best? Poe and BB8? Han and Chewie? Maybe Darth and Palpatine? Or someone else, which two people do you think make the best team?

  • Oh, hey again. Indeed the talk pages are a somewhat different beast - one way to think of them is like a system of publicly viewable mail messages. For example, on user talk pages such as yours, other users can leave messages for you to read. On article talk pages, such as Talk:Rey Skywalker, editors can post messages related to that particular Wookieepedia article - questions, corrections, and so on. Note that those always discuss the article, not the corresponding Star Wars subject. If you're interested in general discussions about Star Wars, look no further than Wookieepedia's Discussions feature (or its corresponding channel on the Wook's Discord server). Hope this helps, Imperators II(Talk) 16:57, 8 October 2022 (UTC)
    • Hey there. Looks like new posts on Discussions can only be made by Wookieepedians who have the "autoconfirmed" role - you get that when your account is four days old and you've confirmed your email. I have to admit I'm out of my depth when it comes to anything more specific about Discussions, but feel free to contact any of our Discussions Moderators for any further questions related to that platform. Oh, and just a heads-up, remember to sign your messages on Wook talk pages with four tildes. :) Cheers, Imperators II(Talk) 10:50, 9 October 2022 (UTC)
