How does one vandalize a nonexistent page?
I recently made a new page. It got erased and my talk page said I needed to not vandalize pages anymore. But, I find this message kind of confusing, because there was nothing there to start with.
Since I don't want to seem the vandal, I request advice on your and other opinion as to what I should make the content of the Mudkip article have. Once I have your style down to your approval, I will resubmit the Mudkip article. Thankyou!
Use the force - to catch them all! 70.190.70.128 14:49, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
- The article does not exist because it was deleted, and it was deleted because it was about Pokémon, not Star Wars. Given that this a Star Wars wiki and not a Pokémon wiki, an article about "the most lieked of countless Pokémon creatures" really has no place here. -- Ozzel 21:38, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

Hi, can I change my user page title like Goodwood's? Not exactly like his, but with a different sentence or phrse.-CloneSaber(Droid's Hangout) 21:49, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
- I suppose so. But, and this is just my personal opinion, it kind of bugs me that he hides the "User" namespace part... I've just honestly never noticed it until now. I'd kind of prefer it if you left that part on there, but I'll try to get some other admins' opinions on the matter. -- Ozzel 22:12, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
- OK, and ummm, I was wondering, If you could put all the pages on this wikia together, how much memory would it be? Counting the gigabytes? and Kilabyetes? and all that other memory thingys or just get an estimate.-CloneSaber(Droid's Hangout) 12:27, 15 June 2008 (UTC)

If possible, could you find the source for the name "Kendal" coming from Grange Hill and find out if that was put in Fact File 4 with Sheard's blessing? Those two things are the only things I have no way of finding proof. Grand Moff Tranner 20px (Comlink) 12:16, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
Image requests
I have a few image requests for Daye Azur-Jamin, if you don't mind. This, from Star Wars Insider, and this, from Adventure Journal 4, could do with rescans, and if you could also upload the image of Daye in the Bacta Tank in Adventure Journal 6, and the colored image on page 16, the image on page 24, and the image in Daye's RPG bio on page 50, all from AJ 10, it would be greatly appreciated. Did you want to do anything with this? I was going to close it as an SH thread (since no policy decision was voted upon or made), but figured I'd ask if you had plans for it. Graestan(Talk) 11:40, 26 July 2008 (UTC)

What?
Why was I blocked? I simply asked you a question! I didnt spoil anything, because the fact that I listed was NOT true! The game producers said its not true. Therefore i didnt not say anything that was a fact that could have been spoiling. Sorry again. Jedi Bob 66.175.180.185 15:09, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
- You were blocked because you did exactly what I had just warned you not to do: post spoilers without proper warning. As for their accuracy: it's in the novel. There may be different possible paths in the game, but the book says this is what happens. In the future, even if you aren't sure about its accuracy, don't go waving spoilers around like that. If you have a concern, there are ways to ask without spoiling everyone outright, and if you do have to post something, warn people first. -- Ozzel 19:39, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
Deleted?
Greetings Ozzel,
I was wondering how come my page got deleted? I know it said that you didn't think it was "real" etc. but it neither said how I could proof it was. You guys should create better warnings, or at least not delete that fast... all I did was edit some links in, to show that it is real. And by the way, I've just spend three hours creating that page, since I'm still learning how to create and edit Wiki pages.
I apologize for being rude, but seems a little unfair when someone has put so such time into learning how to use this site.
Please respond to my mail if possible. (I am not aware if you know it, since being an admin and so on, but I'll write it here just to be sure. Please delete this post after seeing my message, as I'd like to avoid spam and so on.)
Thank you and cheers. [Removed per request]
User:Revan Acolyte88
I've noticed that User:Revan Acolyte88 has been adding off-topic/irrelevant comments to article talk pages (such as [1], [2], [3], [4] and others), he was informed that talk pages weren't there for those sorts of comments, but he has apparently chose to ignore the message, and has continued to add off-topic/irrelevant comments to talk pages ([5]). I noticed that you have dealt with this user before, so I figured I'd mention this to you. I'm not sure if continually adding off-topic comments to talk pages after being warned is a big violation, but I thought I'd bring it up with you and let you decide. 96.240.182.214 03:24, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

I wouldn't mind at all; restored. And in case it ever comes up in the future, this probably falls under the "Excepting an undeletion of an item with a clear canonical basis" clause of Administrative autonomy, even though canon doesn't really apply to real world things. Regardless. *I* won't mind if you undelete something I delete like this in the future. jSarek 01:15, 31 July 2008 (UTC)

- how do we determine if the images are "crappy"? the blocking should be for people who are causing trouble! Not people who are trying to help the site! how are we supposed to know if the quality is "crappy"? I got the images from the clone wars novel! We should be able to edit the stie without having fear of being banned!JediBob 16:16, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

Ah, my apologies for protecting :File:Monaco wikia header.jpg — I didn't see that you were already on the problem :P I just noticed my reversion of the picture didn't go through, as you must have just did it. The net connection here is rather slow, at the best of times, so the RC's don't update as fast as I would like. Sorry for stepping on your toes with that. Greyman(Talk) 05:22, 20 August 2008 (UTC)
- No problem. My toes are fine. :-p When I saw the new image up there, I was wondering why that thing wasn't protected in the first place. Looks like the user was well-intentioned, though. Yoda scroll image
I realize we are not a wallpaper site. That is not in any way how it was intended. Maybe I should have phrased it as "standard resolution size", but the proportions worked better in both places it is located on the site. So I'd like to revert it back please. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 04:11, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
- Well, I'm still not sure what a size being "standard" has to do with anything as far as we're concerned, but if you think it needs cropping for an article, then that's fine. -- Ozzel 07:46, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
- On second thought, I'm gonna leave it. It's used on my talk page, as well as in the Yoda article. It looks fine, as is, in the Yoda article. And I'm not gonna alter it simply for aesthetics of my talk page, which is only of secondary importance. Thanks for the consideration though. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 11:53, 28 August 2008 (UTC)

Sorry if I put the wrong tag. But doesn't fairuse apply in case of Wikipedia-images? Mauser 03:56, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
- Some of that legal stuff is over my head... but as I understand it, we don't need to claim it as fair use, because in this case it's released under the Creative Commons license which allows it to be reused freely anyway as long as credit is given. -- Ozzel 04:09, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
Hey, Ozzel. I was wondering if you received the email I sent you a little while ago? I'm just curious, as it wouldn't be the first time that this crappy Internet here in Kandahar ate its share of e-mails :P Greyman(Talk) 12:43, 30 September 2008 (UTC)
- Turns out I did, but my naughty spam filter—which I only just turned on a few weeks ago because I was starting to get a lot of junk—is rather ambitious and likes to take all kinds of mail, it seems. So yeah, I got it now, and I'll keep a better eye on that folder from now on! -- Ozzel 11:35, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
Request for Assistance.
User: Cjh37 keeps adding Original Research and speculation to the Form VII: Juyo/Vaapad article. He claims that Palptine used Juyo, even though his form has never been identified in canon. He claims that Fightsaber and ROTS identify Palpatine as a Juyo user, even though they don't. Could you do something about this situation? Atarumaster usually deals with the Lightsaber form articles (and has stated on the talk page that palpatine shouldn't be in the article). But he isn't around, and I saw your name in Recent Changes, and I was hoping you could help. See the article history and talk page for details. Gray Jedi 07:48, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
- Hi there. Sorry I didn't get to this before—looks like it was right after I left for the night. But I see Tommy fixed the article. Is everything good now? -- Ozzel 02:13, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
- The situation has calmed a bit. Cjh37 has stopped adding his speculation to the article for the time being, and the argument has continued on the article talk page, though he refuses to accept that Palpatine can't be listed as a Juyo practitioner. I've left a message for Atarumaster, asking if he can do anything to settle the matter when he gets the chance. Gray Jedi 05:37, 2 November 2008 (UTC)

End of 2008 status report: Wormie
- Just in case you're curious as to where this little project stands, here are the statistics:
- Total length: 309 kilobytes, which is 90 KB longer than the actual Luke Skywalker article. Does not include material on the second page.
- 110 sources crossed off the expansion list.
- Unique references: 143
- Net growth over 2008: 180 KB.
I realize that the original goal I set—which was to nominate Luke for GA by the end of 2008—was not accomplished. For one, I didn't know exactly how much stuff there is out there on Luke. Turns out, about half of all continuity. Two, I've been distracted with other, smaller projects, particularly over the past few months. However, I've not given up on this idea, and I'm hoping to get a lot more of it done in 2009! Cheers. Atarumaster88 20px (Talk page) 20:20, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
Pass the Pacithhips, please?
Hi, Ozzel! I just left IRC, and I was told you were the go-to guy for Insider stuff. Or at least that you have a pretty big collection of the magazine. :) I'm trying to finish the expansion of the Pacithhip article, but there are a couple of Insider mentions in the source list that I don't have access to. Namely:
"Star Wars Q&A|Ask Lobot|Star Wars Q&A" — Star Wars Insider 71
"50 Factoids About the Original Star Wars Trilogy" — Star Wars Insider 78
Do you have these issues? Would you mind taking a look and letting me know what they say about Pacithhips? Once I have whatever nuggets of info they provide, the article should be ready for FAN. Thanks! ~ SavageBob 22:15, 24 February 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, I have both. I'll try to give 'em a looksie and let you know. -- Ozzel 23:11, 24 February 2009 (UTC)
- Ok, from 78: ..."But some of the effects were decidedly low-tech, namely the "lizard" and "elephant" aliens added to the cantina to replace the previous shots of wolfman aliens. "I guess Goerge never really liked that one werewolf kind of guy; it was just a solid mask that had no articulation," says ILM's Howie Weed, who puppeteered and helped design the newcomers. Not only were puppets used for the lizard and elephant aliens (later identified as members of the Saurin and Pacithhip species respectively), but they're the same mask—the lizard is just the elephant turned backwards, wearing a turban." And the thing in 78 just repeats the same info about the mask, and it names Melas and Ketwol. Doesn't appear to name the species though. -- Ozzel 05:25, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
