Wookiees-Transparent

Wookieepedia aspires to be a reliable source for all Star Wars fans to read and draw information from, and as such, fan-created continuity and fan fiction are not allowed within our articles. All in-universe material must be attributable to a reliable, published source.

Do not remove talk page and forum comments, including your own, as they are part of the public record. Remember that you should always sign your comments on talk and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~.

For an optimal viewing experience, Wookieepedia recommends using the Monobook skin. For help changing your skin preference, see Help:Skin.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wookieepedian! If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the Senate Hall, visit our official IRC channel, or ask me on my talk page. May the Force be with you! —SFH (talk) 21:59, July 29, 2013 (UTC)

Uploading

I saw your query on SFH's talk page and I thought I'd clarify it for you. To prevent abuse, we have measures in place to disallow new users from uploading files to the wiki. Sadly, this also affects productive new users, but nonetheless, the filter is necessary. In order to upload a file, you need to meet the following criteria:

  • Have an account with a confirmed email address
  • Have an account that is at least four days old
  • Have at least 50 edits

Hope this helps. 1358 (Talk) 22:37, September 27, 2013 (UTC)

Regarding File:9781622313259-250.jpg and File:9781622313242-250.jpg: You need to provide a more specific source for these. Simply saying "HighBridge Audio" is not sufficient, and the images could actually be speedily deleted right now as unsourced. However, since you seem to be editing in good faith, I'm going to give you a chance to source them properly. If you found the images online, you need to provide the exact URL to the page where you found the image (not the URL to the image itself, but to the webpage on which it is displayed or from which it is linked). If you created the image offline (i.e. by placing the cover on your scanner), then you need to name and link to the article for the specific source you scanned.
Also, if it is possible to provide higher resolution versions of these images, please do so. The current versions are of little use due to their low resolution. Our preference is for images to be as high of a resolution as possible without artificially blowing them up. Generally, this means that images found online should be uploaded at their full native resolution without downsizing, and when creating images with a scanner, the scanner's resolution setting ("dots per inch"/"dpi" or something similar) should be turned up to its highest setting. —MJ— Jedi Council Chambers 04:03, October 1, 2013 (UTC)
The images came directly from HighBridge. Not sure how else to really state that. Ninjedi (talk) 12:51, October 1, 2013 (UTC)
What do you mean by "the images came directly from HighBridge"? Did you get them from their website, or did someone at HighBridge privately send them to you? If the latter, then that creates a major problem in that it is not possible for the admins to verify the source. That's the whole point of giving the specific source: so that other users, and especially admins, can independently check the given source and verify that image is legitimate. If we can't do that, then the images will probably have to be deleted as unverifiable. —MJ— Comlink 19:26, October 1, 2013 (UTC)
I have added more information. Please let me know if more is needed. Thank you again for your help. Ninjedi (talk) 20:11, October 1, 2013 (UTC)
That helps a lot. I played around with the website until I got it to give me a different URL that points to the exact page they came from, and that URL is now on the image pages instead. I don't blame you for not finding that URL; I only figured it out because I've dealt with that site before (you have to open the page in a new tab to get the page-specific URL, otherwise the URL doesn't change). The images are good now, though I'm going to rename them to more useful filenames. :) —MJ— Holocomm 23:16, October 1, 2013 (UTC)

Re: Star Wars Insider 145 promo cards

Hi Ninjedi! I suppose you already got the latest Insider issue, so I will take your word for it. Anyway, thank you for your message.--LennyF (talk) 17:35, October 4, 2013 (UTC)

Removing talk page content

Please do not remove any content from your talk page, as it is to be kept for the public record. You may, however, relocate the information to a talk page archive. Please see Help:Archiving for more information. - Sir Cavalier of OneFarStar(Squadron channel) 15:03, February 12, 2014 (UTC)

HighBridge Audio images

Hey. I've deleted the images you recently added to the HighBridge Audio article. When uploading images please go to Special:Upload and follow the instructions. Failure to complete at least the source and licensing fields of the {{Information}} template will likely result in the image being deleted. Please note that we also prefer images to be uploaded in PNG or JPG format, not GIF. Thanks. Green Tentacle (Talk) 17:55, February 17, 2014 (UTC)

Warning

While all good-faith contributions to Wookieepedia are appreciated, we ask that you please refer to Wookieepedia:Images and familiarize yourself with the sourcing and licensing requirements before uploading any more images. The only uploading method supported by Wookieepedia, Special:Upload, will prompt you to enter this information. Continued violation of the image policy or falsification of any information in an upload description are considered vandalism and will likely result in a block. Thank you. <-Omicron(Leave a message at the BEEP!) 17:56, February 18, 2014 (UTC)
