Templates
If you want to help out with templates, I'll point out that we have Wikia's slightly-modified version of Scribunto enabled here, but as apparently no one here is any good with Lua, the Module: namespace remains empty. We have some extremely large articles that can take a long time to render; I just made a dummy edit to Wedge Antilles that required about 40 seconds to re-render the page. Wikia created Special:ParserSpeed a while back to show this kind of data. If the templates responsible for this can be identified and Lua-fied to cut down on parsing time, that would be great. —MJ— Holocomm 02:29, November 29, 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for the welcome! I've already converted Template:SpecialCategorizer, which should speed things up a bit. It is used in every transclusion of Template:Quote, and there are quite a lot of them on that page. I've also written Module:Dialogue as a replacement for Template:Dialogue, but I can't make the switch as I'm not autoconfirmed yet. (I don't suppose you could make me a confirmed user?) I've also made an edit request at Forum:SH:Template edit request if you'd like to take a look at it. Best -- Mr. Stradivarius (talk) 11:20, November 29, 2014 (UTC)
- We don't have a confirmed user group available here, so you'll have to wait for autoconfirmed (four days, just like Wikipedia, but no minimum edit count). Also, since no one here is really fluent with Lua that I'm aware of (I have some basic skills, but not much), heavy commenting of your code would be appreciated. ;) I'll take a look at your edit request in a few minutes. —MJ— Training Room 04:27, November 30, 2014 (UTC)
Great work so far. :) Regarding Module:Dialogue, currently it allows an unlimited number of lines. However, the previous wikicode version deliberately limited dialogue to a maximum of 10 lines, per Forum:CT:Quote length. This is one of quite a few "policies" that exist only as archived consensus track threads, so I'm not surprised that you weren't aware of it. Anyway, it would be appreciated if you would modify the module to limit dialogues to ten lines, and display an error if that is exceeded. Thanks. —MJ— Comlink 07:09, December 4, 2014 (UTC)
- Done, and I added a note to the template documentation as well. Mr. Stradivarius (talk) 11:52, December 4, 2014 (UTC)
Problem with module switchover on Template:Eras
This is a heads-up that the recent change to Template:Eras appears to have broken the functionality that sorts Legends articles into the Legends articles category, unless there's a big delay effect or something, or something important that I'm missing. Only 239 are left in that category, and I don't know what it is that's special about the ones that remain in there which weren't affected. The problem was first pointed out at Talk:Biala. Not sure yet if there are any other problems; Category:Canon articles appears to be unaffected, as are Category:Canon articles with Legends counterparts and Category:Legends articles with canon counterparts. ProfessorTofty (talk) 09:30, December 4, 2014 (UTC)
- Ok, that should be fixed now. If it's not showing up on a given page, try doing a null edit. This was indeed an error in the module, due to me reading the code in Template:Eraicon/canon wrongly. (If looking at that code doesn't make you go dizzy, then please tell me your secret! ;) Mr. Stradivarius (talk) 12:53, December 4, 2014 (UTC)
- There are still only 301 pages in the Legends articles category. And doing a null edit on all of them is not going to be practical unless that can be handled by a bot. If I recall correctly, there were over 60000' in there. ProfessorTofty (talk) 14:23, December 4, 2014 (UTC)
- It'll eventually update; just give it a few days. 14:53, December 4, 2014 (UTC)
- Actually, I think there may be a bug in the Wikia setup where pages transcluding a module aren't added to the job queue after the module is edited. You might need to make an edit to Template:Top to give it the kick it needs. (A null edit may work, so try that first.) Mr. Stradivarius (talk) 15:37, December 4, 2014 (UTC)
- The problem appears to have sorted itself now. Thanks! ProfessorTofty (talk) 21:10, December 4, 2014 (UTC)

Cite web
Hello, I noticed that there were quite a few errors in your recent conversion of Template:Cite_web. I switched it back to using the old version until the errors are fixed. The errors I noticed are as follows:
- Fields first and last do not appear without the authors field being filled.
- The "Archived from the original..." section fails to display.
- The "Retrived on..." section fails to display.
When making changes to templates, please check some of the uses of the template both before and after making changes to ensure that no errors have been introduced. Thank you.--Exiled Jedi (Greetings) 15:57, December 5, 2014 (UTC)
- Sorry about that. I really shouldn't have switched that over without testing it properly. I've now made some test cases at Template:Cite web/testcases, and they all look to be working. I'll make the switch again tomorrow after having another look through the code for bugs. Mr. Stradivarius (talk) 22:30, December 5, 2014 (UTC)
Are you hungry?

Mod6
I went ahead and speedy deleted this template. For future reference, templates that are unused and unlikely to be used can be speedied here; just tag it with {{delete|insert reason here}}. You'll find that we use speedy deletion here a lot more liberally than Wikipedia; many things that require a deletion discussion there can be speedied here. :) —MJ— Jedi Council Chambers 14:37, December 7, 2014 (UTC)
