Images

You are uploading a large number of images and are doing nothing with them. Wookieepedia is not a personal image repository. Any image you upload that does not get placed in an article will be deleted within 7 days. I recommend you look at Guide to image use and What Wookieepedia is not before uploading any more images. - JMAS 17:42, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

  • Easy killer, I was working on the Battle of Illum, after talking with some of the guys on the IRC however I edited my original posts down a little. I only upload graphics to pages, as I see it, they're getting added, if this is not the case, please let me know.--MIS Tau 1 19:09, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

Featured Article

  • The requirements for Featured Article are on the Featured article nominations page. On casual inspection, I actually don't see anything that needs addressing, though I'm sure the more practiced eyes of the Inquisitorius will find a few things to recommend. jSarek 00:53, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

Missile Boat

You make me so nostalgic for Star Wars: TIE Fighter, man! - Graestan 20px (This party's over) 02:54, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

  • I do what I can man. TIE Fighter was very influential to so many people, and I refuse to let it die. Most importantly there is alot of material on Wookiepedia that derived from TIE Fighter and much that could be improved by referencing the game. I still play it frequently, yesterday in fact. I, like some of my Emperor's Hammer brethren, am waiting for another sequal to the X-wing series, not in vein I hope.--MIS Tau 1 03:27, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

New articles

Hey, great job creating so many new articles. Just some tips for the future: don't list something under sources and appearances. "Sources" is only for something like the databank or a reference book that doesn't tell a story. Also, it's a good idea to use the Eras template. It just adds the little era boxes that you'll see in the top right of some articles. -LtNOWIS 04:34, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

  • I appreciate the heads up, I noticed that alot of the pages on Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds aren't very consistent, Eras and whatnot being one of those errors. I'm going through them now and updated those pages, along with my own doing just what you said. Thanks--MIS Tau 1 23:16, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

RE: Nova Wing

You could move the current . The text between the tags will appear in the notes and references section, as in Bria Tharen#Notes and references. Green Tentacle (Talk) 17:15, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

  • Done, I appreciate it man--MIS Tau 1 03:08, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
    • I added it back and went into a bit of detail. Hopefully it won't get removed this time. Green Tentacle (Talk) 13:10, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
      • I appreciate the help. What do you think needs to be done for FA?--MIS Tau 1 22:23, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

Blanking

It's better not to just blank pages. Blank pages are undesirable; if you want it gone, it's better to put a deletion tag on it, usually Delete. However, if you're moving pages, it's usually better for the old page to redirect to somewhere. -LtNOWIS 00:26, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

  • Check, I was curious what I needed to do to get it deleted, I figured someone would come along and take care of it, and I would discover how. As it seems this has happened. Thanks.--MIS Tau 1 00:59, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

Cookiee

Wookieecookiefor one of the best, most informative, well-formatted FANs I've had the pleasure to read in awhile. For a first timer, very impressive.

Re:

Good Job

Your doing a great jod with updating the Tie fighter game section especially adding new ship pages i was going to do something like that but never got the time so im glade to see someone else doing it keep up the great work Dark Lord Xander (Embrace The Dark Side!)20px 01:38, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

  • no problem. TIE is still my favorite game after 13 years. I'm all over the game coverage on Wookie, let me know if I can help you anywhere else.--MIS Tau 1 01:47, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

Pit Droid Award

thumb|The Pit Droid Award of Diligence is awarded to Mistau1 for his tireless efforts in improving all things TIE Fighter.

You've more than earned it, pal. - Graestan 20px (This party's over) 01:52, 2 September 2007 (UTC)

I second that... I came to your talkpage exactly for this reason and I saw that you already earned it. Congrats. MoffRebus 07:48, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

Two articles of the same thing.

This is Admiral jolyon. I am asking why are you making articles on certain things we already have? E.g. Making an article Runka an assassin-class corvette when we have already got one? Runka (Assassin-class). The same applies to Shotgun (Corvette) and Shotgun (CR90), your's should be the latter.

  • I began writing the TIE Battle pages, in the midst of this I realized that I was doing exactly what you're talking about. I am searching more thoroughly to make sure this no longer occurs.--MIS Tau 1 22:57, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
  • Roger that. One other thing your article on Aftermath of Hoth, it's very good, however, we have got an article of the same events called the Mugaari Campaign. I think its best that you may need to merge the two together to avoid a little confusion.
  • I found out that you redirected the Mugaari campaign to your article. I have to let you know you have missed out the Mugaari campaign's battles. Here is the template about the Mugaari campaign containing what you need to look at. This should help you merge the articles with yours.

    • Indeed, all duplicate pages explicitly listed have been fixed. I suppose I should have looked through the Mugaari campaign more thoroughly aswell, as stated before I started off a little to hastily. I have added the Template to Aftermath of Hoth, hopefully that will suffice. In reality, I hate to trample on others work, however I feel that Aftermath of Hoth is more indepth, yet not perdect by any means.--MIS Tau 1 23:37, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

The Stele Chronicles

This is Admiral jolyon again, I was wondering do you have The Stele Chronicles? If so then can you put more information about Carith, Alimet and Ketcher?

I have also a website that also might have information about my requests. [1]

  • I have it on order, I'm living abroad at the moment, and it's appearently stuck in the mail. I have TIE Fighter: The Official Strategy Guide on hand at the moment, and while I was writing the battle pages, I took mental notes about those characters, and referenced their apprearances in the BTS sections. I looked at the links and noticed they're a little short. I'll see what I can do to aid you.--MIS Tau 1 23:24, 6 September 2007 (UTC).

Thank you. BTW, out of curiousity where are you? You said you were abroad.

  • Middle East on business, I'd prefer not to discuss the details online at the moment. I'll be returning to "the states" soon enough.--MIS Tau 1 00:45, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
    • Actually, none of those characters are in The Stele Chronicles. They're all from TIE Fighter: The Official Strategy Guide. I've corrected the source on the articles and will get around to expanding if you don't beat me to it. Green Tentacle (Talk) 10:21, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
    • (slowly) I see. Oh and Green Tenticle, you know you said that about "if you don't beat me to it", I wish to point out this isn't a race, and I think because I gave Mistau1 this request I think it would be reasonable for him to carry it out first. Once he has finished you can take a look at it.Unsigned comment by Admiral jolyon (talk • contribs)
      • Er, who said it was a race? I think you'll find that that's just a figure of speech. I really don't give a crap who expands them and was just pointing you in the right direction for the source. Green Tentacle (Talk) 11:38, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
      • Right, I apologize, I'm not good with "Figures of speech". BTW Mistau1, do you have the following games: X-wing, X-wing vs. TIE Fighter and X-wing Alliance?
        • My two cents is mostly that TIE Fighter related articles get expanded, whoever does it is all good. I'll get to it when I can, and always appreciate assistance. Admiral jolyon, I do have all those games (see my page for details), I also have the Strategy guides for each. What did you have in mind?--MIS Tau 1 00:02, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
      • Well for X-wing and X-wing Alliance, I think it would be very helpful to put the same thing you did for each Tour of Duty, as you did in TIE Fighter. As for X-wing vs. TIE Fighter we require your help in making an article on the campaign of Task Force Vengence. We have one for the Rebel Alliance but we might need one for Task Force Vengence.
        • Indeed, this is a good idea. I need to play these campaigns myself first. I'm a very strict TIE Fighter fan. I own the other platforms, mostly for completeness, but I have played a little here an there. For the sake of wookieepedia, I am working on completing this campaign. I have the OSG for XWA, I would certainly need the OSG for XvT to write any articles.--MIS Tau 1 22:55, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
        • Roger that, Thank you. I also have those games myself, just to let you know. So I will try to help you on those games, and TIE Fighter, however I can.

Duplicates

You don't have to put requests for deletion for duplicate articles. You can just put a redirect. MoffRebus 07:09, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

  • Roger, I just wanted to avoid having redirects like "Garrett (Imperial-class), Garrett (Star Destroyer), Garrett (ISD)", and all those cluttering up wiki. I will of course reditect in the future.--MIS Tau 1 01:55, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

Harpax's fate

This is Admiral jolyon to Mistau1, I'm here to discuss the Harpax's fate. Did you say it was destroyed?

  • Yes, according to TIE Fighter: The Official Strategy Guide Maarek Stele's log says that he couldn't save the Harpax once Zaarin's forces arrived, B-wing's Blue destroyed it.--MIS Tau 1 00:13, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
    • That would contradict with a bonus objective in the game, but I can't deny that bit of information (especially since I don't own the strategy guide). So if that's the case what other bonus objectives are there in the game that aren't canon?
      • I've played the game start to finish more times than I can count. As I've played the game and read the strategy guide I believe the writers played the game on Medium. That being the case, there are a plethora of bonus goals unattainable due to the lower difficulty setting. I wouldn't say that these goals aren't canon, however it's obvious they are feats not accomplished by Maarek Stele because the book frequently says at what point Stele leaves the battle.--MIS Tau 1 22:49, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

Update on TIE Fighter

This is Admiral jolyon to Mistau1, requesting update on the 8th Battle, the Strategic Warfare where the Omar factories were destroyed.

  • Roger that. I've been a little caught up in some real life issues, needed to take a little leave of absence. I'm sure I will get back to it soon, just keep your drawers on.--MIS Tau 1 14:38, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
  • I roger that Mistau1. When you have finished the article on Strategic Warfare let me know on my user page. I look forward to seeing your work.

Neutrality dispute in progress

This is Admiral Jolyon. The Neutrality of your article Arms Race is disputed. I believe that it is fair that you better see the discussion page at once. Also multiple articles on certain things have just popped up such as Destruction of the Grappler and Battle of Pondut. This may need your attention at once. (Admiral jolyon 11:57, 6 July 2008 (UTC))

Linking

Hey Mistau1, I noticed you are uploading requested images and putting links to them on talkpages. That's a good thing but I also noticed you are making wrong links to them. for instance File:Bastila vs Revan.jpg links to Link. Now if you reverse this you would get link which links to the image in question. Also make sure to put a : in front of File: otherwise you would show the image itself like this:

100px|link

and with :File: you would get this
File:Bastila vs Revan.jpg

if you have additional questions feel free to ask and keep up the good work. Cheers MadclawShyriiwook! 17:57, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

  • Thanks, my editing skills are pretty rusty, I've not posted anything new in about a year, forgot all the code. MIS Tau 1 21:10, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

Re:Bastila vs Revan image

Thank you for upolading that image, unfortunately, someone already uploaded that one a few months ago. Here's the current one: File:RevanVSBastila.jpg I appreciate it, though.--Jedi Kasra (talk) 17:09, 15 December 2008 (UTC)

Missile Boat

Hey. Just a quick reminder about Missile Boat's FAN. It's been idle for some time now and is likely to be removed unless the pending objections are fixed soon. Green Tentacle (Talk) 21:38, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
