Bomb thoughts

Hey MJ,

Been a while. When you have time can you run through thought bomb please? Same terms as always, thanks in advance.—Tommy 9281 Friday, April 8, 2011, 02:14 UTC

  • Done. Apologies for the delay; my car was totaled earlier this week by a hit-and-run driver, and I've been busy trying to come up with the money for another car since my insurance won't pay. :( Anyway, let me know if you have any questions. Jayfon

Hi, Jonathan. Could you give Jayfon a copy-edit? Thanks. Clone Commander Lee Talk 17:13, April 28, 2011 (UTC)

  • Partially done, but I can't make heads or tails out of this sentence: "He is available for purchase for Free Game, labeled as "Senate Commando (Captain)."" Specifically, "purchase for Free Game" makes no sense to me. I understand English is a second language for you, so I'm guessing that something got lost in the translation process. If you can explain what you're trying to say in other words, I can try to help you make it make sense. The more detailed your explanation, the easier I can help you. Master JonathanJedi Council Chambers Thursday, April 28, 2011, 23:48 UTC
    • Thanks. I took it wordly from Dolphins answer: Jayfon doesn't do anything in particular, he's just a purchasable Free Play character called "Senate Commando (Captain)" who you can buy after completing the "Hostage Crisis" mission. ... "He is available for purchase for Free Play in the game". What I want to say: If you complete the mission, you can "buy" the character so that you can play him in the Free Play Mode of the Level (and in the rest of the game). Clone Commander Lee Talk 18:02, April 29, 2011 (UTC)
      • OK, I understand what you're trying to say now. The use of "Free Game" instead of "Free Play" was the main issue throwing me off. I reworded it to make it clearer; let me know if that works, and feel free to tweak it if it doesn't. Master JonathanJedi Council Chambers Friday, April 29, 2011, 18:22 UTC

SuperShadow artcle

Is SuperShadow some kind of criminal? I never believed he was a criminal. I always believed he was just some crazy person trying to get attention by making fanon creations and attempting to pass them off as canon, pretending to know George Lucas, and making weird conspiracy theories. Is Mickey Suttle the actual name of SuperShadow, was the name taken from some place, or was it a fictional name created by SuperShadow? I forgot that I should not to put it in the senate hall. I don't know where to put this message, do you have any idea? --173.51.126.86 00:35, April 30, 2011 (UTC)

RE: AWB Cleanup

Hey MJ,

Yeah, that one slipped by me. I'm usually good about catching those, that one got lucky :P Thanks,—Tommy 9281 Friday, May 6, 2011, 01:17 UTC

Now you see me...

Hey MJ,

Care to give Force phantom a looksee please? Same terms as usual, thanks in advance.—Tommy 9281 Saturday, May 7, 2011, 02:25 UTC

  • Done. Somehow the article duplicated itself within the infobox while I was trying to merge my edits with Floyd's after an edit conflict, but that's my fault for not using my own inuse tag from the start. :P Anyway, let me know if you have any questions. Master JonathanJedi Council Chambers Saturday, May 7, 2011, 03:01 UTC
    • Much obliged, homie!—Tommy 9281 Saturday, May 7, 2011, 03:06 UTC

Hey MJ. Could you give the old trooper a once-over when you have the time? Thanks in advance. QuiGonJinn 20px(Talk) 19:41, May 7, 2011 (UTC)

Grif Grawley

I have one more for you. As always, thanks in advance. QuiGonJinn 20px(Talk) 17:30, May 18, 2011 (UTC)

  • Done, but there's one last issue that I can't fix myself. Under "Droid encounter", you have the following sentence: "He was so drunk that Carole had to come to the cantina, load him into an airspeeder, and drive him home." Now, the text says airspeeder, but you've pipelinked it to landspeeder. Both terms have an article of their own, so which is it and why is is piped like that? I am totally unfamilar with the source, so i can't correct it myself. Otherwise, it's ready to go. Let me know if you have any questions. Master JonathanJedi Council Chambers Thursday, May 19, 2011, 01:29 UTC
    • That's airspeeder. I got things mixed-up a bit. Corrected now. Thanks again. QuiGonJinn 20px(Talk) 11:12, May 19, 2011 (UTC)

Weazel

Hey there, MJ. Thanks again for the help with the Dialoguetrans template. I was wondering if I could ask you for one more favour today. I've been on a source hunt for Weazel, and his CUSWE entry indicates that he's mentioned somewhere in Star Wars Insider 109. I don't know where in the issue that info might be, but I suspect that it's probably in Menace Revisited, or maybe in More Menace! I know that my clues aren't very helpful, but is there any chance that you could check it out for me and provide me with any info? Thanks so much. Menkooroo 08:58, May 22, 2011 (UTC)

  • In "Menace Revisited" (p. 32), there is a small screenshot of Weazel from TPM, with this caption: "Warwick Davis, who played Wicket the Ewok in Return of the Jedi, can be seen here as the sleazy arms dealer Weazel." That's all I can find. Master JonathanJedi Council Chambers Sunday, May 22, 2011, 23:00 UTC
    • That's awesome! Thanks so much for the prompt reply despite the vague directions I gave. You are wonderful! Menkooroo 04:12, May 23, 2011 (UTC)

Blademaster

My friend,

If you are available, care to run through Shak'Weth for me please? Same terms as always, thanks in advance.—Tommy 9281 Sunday, May 22, 2011, 23:09 UTC

Dal Konur

Hi Master Jonathan, I just though I'd say thanks to you for providing the CSWE information on Dal Konur. I have now been advised to arrange for someone to copy-edit the article, so I was wondering if you would be able to take a quick look at it, whenever you have a spare moment? Thanks again, I hope this isn't too much to ask. --Jinzler 09:27, May 27, 2011 (UTC)

  • Done, and noted on the nomination page also. Let me know if you have any questions. Master JonathanJedi Council Chambers Sunday, May 29, 2011, 19:27 UTC
    • It looks great, thank you very much! --Jinzler 08:46, May 30, 2011 (UTC)

Re: Template

Thanks Jon, you're a great help. Yeah, the barn-burner's almost over, so I doubt we'll need to expand it again, but I'll call on you again if we need to. :) Kilson(Let's have a chat) 04:03, May 30, 2011 (UTC)

Hi Master Jonathan, I hope you are well. It has been requested that I arrange for a copy-edit of the Garth Ezzar article, so I was wondering if you would be able to take a look at the article whenever you have some spare time? Any help or feedback you can give would be much appreciated. --Jinzler 11:19, June 13, 2011 (UTC)

IRC

Hello, Master? I'd like to know if this wikia has a IRC. If not I think maybe you should do one. There's no Star Wars IRC yet... Take you're time, but one wikia has an Mibbit IRC and it was cool. Hope you respond =P --188.83.96.76 20:18, June 16, 2011 (UTC)

  • Yes, there is. You need a registered account to enter the main channel, though—you'll end up in #wookieepedia-social otherwise. Sorry to answer on your talk, MJ, but you've done it to me, so… :P 1358 (Talk) 20:21, June 16, 2011 (UTC)

Dark Lady

Hey MJ,

Thanks for the info. I believe I have completed this assignment, and am requesting a copyedit/prenom review please, at your earliest convenience. Same terms as always, and there is no rush. Thanks in advance,—Tommy 9281 Friday, June 17, 2011, 02:38 UTC

  • Just to let you know, I am currently preparing for a five-day vacation next week, so the earliest I will be able to get to an article of this size would be the 25th (the day after I get back home), and it will probably be done in several stages over a few days. If I haven't started by the end of June, feel free to drop a reminder here, as I may have forgotten about it. :) Master JonathanJedi Council Chambers Friday, June 17, 2011, 02:57 UTC
    • No worries, no rush. Thanks again.—Tommy 9281 Friday, June 17, 2011, 02:58 UTC

I'll start listing objections here as I come across them:

  • Intro: "Purpose-driven toward vengeance against Luke Skywalker and the Alliance Rebellion,": "Alliance Rebellion" is both awkward and redundant; I suggest picking one word or the other.
    • Addressed.
  • Intro: "By 25 ABY, though, Lumiya had long abandoned the Outer Rim": Are we sure she's "long" abandoned it? If a source says that, that's fine, but if we just don't know when, then it's probably best to drop the word "long" here.
    • Addressed.
  • I may continue later today, but otherwise it will be Friday or Saturday before I can do so, as I plan on spending all day tomorrow at my local amusement park. Master JonathanJedi Council Chambers Wednesday, June 29, 2011, 19:20 UTC
    • Thanks and no worries man, I appreciate it.—Tommy 9281 Wednesday, June 29, 2011, 19:56 UTC
  • Imperial double-agent/Lieutenant Brie: "though they were soon thereafter neutralized by a lobot and a Human,": You use "lobot" here as a common noun, but 1) I'm not sure it can be used that way, and 2) the link goes to a specific character. Please correct or clarify.
    • I know. The source specifically says "a lobot," so I wasn't really sure how to approach it. What do you think?—Tommy 9281 Saturday, July 2, 2011, 21:59 UTC
      • Hmm. If the source clearly identifies the "lobot" as the character Lobot at some point, then I would suggest adding the grammatical article to the link text (i.e. [[Lobot/Legends|a lobot]]), so that it's clear you meant to link there and it doesn't appear to be an incorrect link. On the other hand, if the source doesn't explicitly say it's Lobot, then I would suggest piping the link to cyborg instead. Master JonathanJedi Council Chambers Saturday, July 2, 2011, 22:11 UTC
  • Will continue from "Rebirth" when I have time. Master JonathanJedi Council Chambers Saturday, July 2, 2011, 21:54 UTC
  • Rebirth/Dark Lady: "More than two hundred TIE/ln starfighters and TIE/sa bombers were divided into several squads amongst the Star Destroyers, frigates and one of the corvettes, which completed the fleet.": It took me a few reads to figure this sentence out; the best I can figure out from the context, the phrase "which completed the fleet" is meant to refer to the TIEs, which would make it a hanging modifier, but I'm still not totally sure. If it is referring to the TIEs, please rephrase to eliminate the hanging modifier; if not, please rephrase to clarify.
    • Addressed.
  • Rebirth/Imperial allies/Epsilon Nine: "Lumiya was considered a threat to Isard's," Isard's what? Please specify.
    • Addressed.
  • Will continue from "Striking from the shadows" soon. Master JonathanJedi Council Chambers Monday, July 4, 2011, 00:37 UTC
  • Striking from the shadows/Puppetmaster/Meeting Jacen Solo: "Solo initially declined, and Syo to divulge anything further.": There's a word missing here, and I'm not sure what it is.
    • Addressed.
  • Striking from the shadows/Puppetmaster/Sith Master: "She then handed the tassel artifact to Solo—which he tossed about as though it were extremely hot—": The second part of this is a bit too much play-by-play and not really relevant to Lumiya; I suggest taking it out unless there's a specific reason for having it.
    • Addressed.
  • Will continue from "Lumiya revealed" soon. Master JonathanJedi Council Chambers Wednesday, July 6, 2011, 02:01 UTC
  • Lumiya revealed/Reunion: "When next she received report of Dyur's progress, Lumiya learned that Faskus had been accompanied by his daughter, for whom Skywalker assumed responsibility after her father's death.": First you say that Faskus is Kiara's father, then you say that Kiara's father is already dead. Please correct or clarify how this can be.
    • I reworded, it should be good now.
  • Legacy: The quote for this section is eleven lines long, which violates the limit of ten lines established in Forum:CT:Quote length. Please cut it down to no more than ten lines.
    • Addressed.
  • Will continue from the P&T soon. Master JonathanJedi Council Chambers Sunday, July 10, 2011, 17:14 UTC
  • Behind the scenes: "The same source also mistakenly identifies Lumiya as having been previously a Jedi Knight": Unclear what "the same source" refers to, given that the previous sentence discussed three different sources. Please specify which one.
    • Addressed.
  • And that concludes my copy-edit and review. Well done. Master JonathanJedi Council Chambers Tuesday, July 12, 2011, 21:51 UTC
    • Thank you so much my friend, I owe you one.—Tommy 9281 Tuesday, July 12, 2011, 21:59 UTC
