I try to make it my own but use some of the wording from the book so the reader knows what I am trying to get across. Im sorry if it looks like this and I will try better to write them better. Standard for published works

I've seen your outline which attempts to create a standard for articles on Star Wars published works. Good work. I would like you to help me set a standard for all of this. The "in-universe" side of Wookieepedia seems to be fairly well-developed now and I think an equal focus should be put on the "real-world" aspects of Wookieepedia. I've consolidated your outlines into what I think would best cover everything for all published works. Take a look at this link. I've based the "appearances" section off of the classification system the official databank uses. I'm hoping maybe we can start formatting all articles on published works this way. RE:Regen

'Regen' just means that I regenerated the template from its source code. I modified the source templates {{slh}} and {{slf}} tonight, so I was just implementing those changes. Hope my explanation helps ;) –SentryTalk 08:10, 22 July 2006 (UTC)

  • That wasn't a very good explanation was it...
    In order to keep the infoboxes standardized, most of the infobox templates on the wiki are generated from four other templates: Template:slh, Template:sls, Template:sld, and Template:slf. Those four templates are used to create the source code that is found at the bottom each infobox template's page. In order to regenerate a template, you simply modify that source code and paste it into the template page code in place of the old code. We make use of Substitution so that when the page is saved, the code of the four templates above is actually substituted into the infobox template in place of the template call. Sentiments

I just wanted to thank you for your comments on Karpshyn's blog. Very nice job. For some reason people take it upon themselves to define a certain type of people and then insult their exclusive definition, very frustrating. Though my frustration probably has something to do with really enjoying JvS. On another note, is there a reason why you characterized Zannah so brutally? At least in her responses to Bane, I never got the gist that she thought killing "felt right" or that the only reason she didn't kill her cousin was because she hadn't learned enough. I thought she was a little more sympathetic than that. However, I haven't completed PoD, so this might have something to do with this. In that case, could you set me straight?   • I got the "felt right" from her line about killing to make life bearable. Not meaning that she enjoyed it, but that it felt like the necessary thing to do. As for the second part, I don't believe I stated that. There was a line already in the article about her saying she didn't kill him because she was still young (which wasn't actually accurate, since that's what Bane says), but it's since been changed. And thanks regarding the blog comments. I really don't care for the holier-than-thou-because-I-never-criticize-anything type of fan, and unfortunately those comments were chock full of them. - Lord Hydronium 21:30, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
    • Ah, my mistake then. I guess I should have checked the history on that. My feelings on the "felt right" statement was that it characterizes her as killing unremorsefully at best and for pleasure at worst. I felt like the author made an effort to show that Zannah was not happy about the killing and only did it to as she says to "restore the balance". Seemed right just seems a little less harsh than felt right. You can't call out Star Wars authors anymore or you're an evil stalker fan that only wishes to do physical harm to the writer. As for the Coruscanti I meant the Taungs when they left after the war with the Zhell. The "dark knights" come from the NEC section on the Battle of Muunilinst, and the Expansionist Era is extrapolation from the the fact that it's said to involve both the development of the hyperdrive (pre-Republic) and the early expansion of the Republic. Kuralyov 18:46, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

It really doesn't say much, but I'll do a deeper scan later. Under the Roganda Ismaren part it says: Palpatine's death came too soon. While growing in the dark side, eight-year-old Irek was unprepared to assume power—his legitimacy would undoubtedly be challenged, and he wasn't strong enough to repel all Imperial warlords jockeying for control. Roganda could only grit her teeth as the imposter Trioculus was crowned Emperor as Palpatine's legitimate son. She bided her time, retreating with Irek to Belsavis, waiting for opportunity to come. Revan Article

I've pruned the Talents and BTS section of the Revan article. You were right about the swoop racer section (of course, I might just be saying it because it's the one part I didn't write...) and I managed to get it into three sentences. I might have gone overboard with the BTS, but I figured that it didn't make sense to have all those subheadings when bullet points would do. Anyway, let me know what you think and if I'm taking it to an extreme or not.

Empress Isard?

I'm no Hyperspacer, so I'll have to take your word on that, but something is wrong in the article, the dating if nothing else. Wedge's Gamble in 6.5 ABY describes her as being "Emperor in all but name", so she shouldn't have been de jure Empress before that. Or does Evil Never Dies override that, being newer?   • Here's all it says: "Thus, it was easy for Jax to transfer allegiance from Palpatine to his successor Sate Pestage, then again to Empress Ysanne Isard." This same contradiction came up on the TFN boards, and I'm not sure there is one distinct answer. Either the narration in WG wasn't entirely accurate (maybe she was referred to as Empress only in certain circles), or END is speaking figuratively. - Lord Hydronium 10:59, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

Rebel Fleet/Arbra pictures

I am very, very interested in that shot of the Rebel fleet hiding in the Abran sun. The count of black shapes in that "pyramid" is astounding, as they are obviously meant to represent capital ships and transports. Do you have any other shots of the Rebel fleet from that issue?   • I tried moving some pages to the Inq archives. It didn't go very well, so I guess I'll wait for you to do it. Also, you're not moving current FAs to the archives are you?     • I brought this up in the last meeting, and it was suggested that we put all finished noms into Archives, then bring them back out as the situation warrants (like if we FA review that article). Personally, I like that idea (and it's what I've been doing), since the Inq page for noms and for full FAs are of a different nature, and just moving the nom pages to FAs makes it hard to tell where the nom review ends and the FA review begins (plus, the whole vote section is kind of meaningless after it becomes an FA). - Lord Hydronium 03:45, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

  • Because the same IP can be used by multiple people, blocks for anons need to be limited so we don't accidentally block people who might be using that address and have nothing to do with the vandal . Confession

Being part of this respectable and loyal Star Wars committee gives me great pride and satisfaction however I have a very dark and terrible secret which I must share with you. I have tried to conceal this from my peers on this site however I feel that they can see straight through me which is causing me to go dangerously paranoid and I am feeling slightly suicidal. I feel I can trust you to keep this to yourself and not to go spreading this around as my reputation here will be ultimately damaged. I am yet to purchase the latest edition of Star Wars episode three 'The Revenge of The Sith.' It's not something I'm proud of and I have tried on several occasions to claim a copy however my life has been very busy of late and I haven't got round to it. I am constantly in a state of depression and I seem to torture myself over it. Please can you absolve me of this sin? It would put a tortured mind at rest. Thank you and I apologise once again.   • That's what I get for trying to cram an explanation into an edit summary. :-P Basically, while Droids and the Force may be an essay in-universe, it's also an OOU work, which is what's being cited. Since it's a reference work and not a narrative piece, it's a Source.     • Hmm, a difference is that the NEC is not called that in-universe. But this is semantics anyway. I had actually gone to the article to add in a bit about Plaristes, but you were miles ahead! What I meant was that the planet hasn't been definitively identified IU (or so Wookieepedia says). Which means the question could be contested, or confusing at the very least. I apologize for bothering you in such a way but I am new to Wookieepedia and hoped you could help. As the one who created the page stating reasons why Grievous's FA status was stripped, I was wondering if you could give me a suggestion. The list said the Jedi Kills section should be removed, and I was unsure about how that could be fixed. Lord Hydronium, I saw that you had uploaded the images for Storyteller. I am currently doing a fanon comic on Remoh and his future rebellion, but I don't have the story or issue of Star Wars tales. If you got them online, could you point me to the site where you got the scans and if not, could you please scan them and put them on my talk page? I just could really use the Storyteller comic. If you feel that asking you to get the scans is to much, that's fine, I'll just find it somewhere online. Sorry for any inconvenience and I'm sorry if I wasted your time.
