User protection feature
You put a message on my talk page about the {{user protection}} thing. But, If I try to edit your page, I still can. So, what's so special about it? Is it just the standard one to inform other users not to edit your page? If so, is there a penalty for editing pages with that on it? Grand Moff Kiely 01:54, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
- Really? That's wierd, it worked for me a while ago. I tried to edit it when I was not logged in and it wouldn't let me. Thanks for telling me about it though.

- The template doesn't cause your page to be locked. An administrator can lock it, but I doubt one would do so simply because you request it. If your page is a target of vandalism, they will lock it though. I removed the template because it's doing no good sitting there, just giving a false impression. - Well, you had no right to delete that. I can have whatever I want on my userpage, even if it is pointless. It's like saying you contribute using Internet Explorere. I mean, who cares? - I'm an administrator and I've removed the template from your page since your page is not protected. As Chack said, it is misleading. That's like putting a template on your userpage that identifies you as an administrator, or something similar. So ya, the template has been removed and I'm advising you not to replace it.
