Welcome, JrgnMrts!
|
Hello, JrgnMrts, and welcome to Wookieepedia! We hope you like the place and choose to join us in building the best Star Wars encyclopedia there is. Here are some things you should know:
New to wikis? Don't worry, we were all new once. Our help pages will get you started, and the Jundland Wastes sandbox can be used for test edits. Don't be afraid to make mistakes—be bold! I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wookieepedian! If you have any questions, you can consult our FAQ, ask a question in the Senate Hall forum, visit our official IRC channel, or leave me a message on my talk page. |
Linking
When creating a link, please see here. More specifically, use double brackets around the link instead of a single bracket and the complete URL. <-Omicron(Leave a message at the BEEP!) 19:39, May 28, 2020 (UTC)
Policies
Hi there, please make sure that any edits you make in mainspace articles adhere to our site policies. Your recent page The Grammus sisters violates several of these rules. RattsT (talk) 18:30, May 29, 2020 (UTC)
Warning: Sourcing
Thank you for contributing to Wookieepedia! Please note that at least one of your recent additions added unverified information to a mainspace article. Additions to Wookieepedia's articles must be verifiable by a reliable source per our sourcing policy, and unverified information may be reverted or deleted. Continuing to add unverified information may lead to you being blocked from editing by an administrator. Thank you.--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 19:50, May 29, 2020 (UTC)
Please stop
I'm not sure what you're attempting to do, but your recent edits have copy-pasted an article verbatim into several others. Please stop whatever you're doing right now and let me know if you need any help. Thanks. 1358 (Talk) 18:41, May 31, 2020 (UTC)
Sorry
I accidently copied a whole article instead of one sentence, I'm sorry. When I noticed, I wanted to fix this by undoing my edits, but you already did this for me, thank you. JrgnMrts (talk) 18:56, May 31, 2020 (UTC)
- No worries, it happens! Make sure to sign your comments on talk pages, such as this one, using four tildes: ~~~~. Cheers, 1358 (Talk) 18:50, May 31, 2020 (UTC)
- I will keep it in mind, thanks for the tip. 18:56, May 31, 2020 (UTC)
Unidentified clone commando's
I think you should rename Category:Unidentified clone commandos to "Unidentified clone commandos" without the apostrophe. UberSoldat93 (talk) 14:40, June 1, 2020 (UTC)
Unidentified clone commanders
This page doesn't load (Category:Unidentified clone commanders( any persons, can someone fix it? Or tell me how to fix it?
Adding Males category to clone troopers
Hi, JrgnMrts. Please stop adding Category:Males to clone trooper articles. Clone troopers is a subcategory of Males, due to all clone troopers being males. Therefore, adding "Males" is redundant and goes against the site's policy. Thank you. QuiGonJinn (Talk) 13:23, June 2, 2020 (UTC)
- To echo what QuiGon said, this isn't the first time I've had to code a bot script to correct your errors. Please take more care in the future when mass editing pages or you will be blocked for disruption. Thank you for your cooperation. Tommy-Macaroni 13:59, June 2, 2020 (UTC)
- Okay, after finishing going through your edits and correcting then, there's some more stuff I needed to warn you about. First, I have no idea why you keep putting "| " at the end of subcategories. Adding that only removes the auto-alphabetisation function on the parent category. Furthermore, many of the categories you've added to these new subcategories are redundant, like Category:Unidentified Galactic Republic individuals. That is already a parent category via Unidentified clone troopers. Lastly, please format your Interlang, Stub, and categories correctly. That means first letter always capitalised, no unnecessary spaces, and correct line breaks. If you do not heed this advice, you will be blocked from editing. Tommy-Macaroni 14:32, June 2, 2020 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, I didn't know. In the future I will investigate more to avoid these problems. Again I'm sorry, but I am still learning about the rules etc. JrgnMrts (talk) 15:51, June 2, 2020 (UTC)
- Similarly, when adding a category such as Category:Unidentified fathers or mothers etc please then remove Category:Males/females as its redundant to have both the fathers/mothers category as well as the males/females one. --Lewisr (talk) 15:59, June 3, 2020 (UTC)
- Category:Males was added later to the category I made, therefore I had not yet taken this into account. But i will change it, for organizational purposes. Thanks for saying anyway. JrgnMrts (talk) 16:07, June 3, 2020 (UTC)
- No worries I understand! Looks like a bot has been run to remove them. In future before undertaking such a large scale task like this and since you're relatively new to everything, I would recommend asking someone, you can always ask me, to check and help inform you what should be removed/added before you start --Lewisr (talk) 16:18, June 3, 2020 (UTC)
Warning
This is your final warning. You have already been told to add categories in alphabetical order, but you seem to be ignoring this. If you continue, you will be blocked. Thank you. Tommy-Macaroni 12:51, June 6, 2020 (UTC)
Blocked
You have been blocked from editing for 1 day, for failing to alphabetise categories despite multiple warnings. I hoped it wouldn't have to come to this, but it seems a block is the only way to make you listen. If this continues after your block expires, only expect a longer block. To contest this block, please contact the blocking administrator with the reason you believe the block is unjustified. Tommy-Macaroni 13:01, June 6, 2020 (UTC)
