Hardcase

Hey Jang. Sorry that I haven't been around to review Hardcase, but at a glance, I just noticed a minor issue with the article. Per the Manual of Style, all articles are supposed to use metric units for cross-wiki consistency, and that means using centimeters instead of inches in the article. If you could fix that when you get the chance (and preferably add a refnote of some sort to highlight the conversion), that would be great. Cheers, CC7567 (talk) 06:39, May 29, 2010 (UTC)

  • I apologize; I didn't realize what Toprawa's concern was. I talked to him in IRC, and I agree with him that it should be reverted back to the centimeters to avoid the OR-ish conversion. You can forgo my concern, so I apologize about the confusion. CC7567 (talk) 19:14, May 29, 2010 (UTC)

The Ark

I was just curious about whether you intended to GA the Ark of the Covenant article. I'm not looking to, just asking because since I'm a Christian, I find this article… interesting… to say the least.--Jedi Kasra (comlink) 01:05, June 14, 2010 (UTC)

  • Oh, I know that it has nothing to do with religion. I was just making a statement. I'm a fan of Lost Ark myself. Just wanted to say you're doing a good job on the article. I actually did not notice it in the episode, hmm...—Unsigned comment by Jedi Kasra (talk • contribs)
    • Whoops! Sorry about not signing that last comment. Speaking of TCW articles, I did get your last message about the TCW project, and I think I've settled on working on Tan Divo's article. Why was my entry on michael ross reverted? I could give you a lot more info on him, since he's my father-in-law. It's pretty cool having someone who worked on the movie related to you. My Vote?

I'm sorry but I'm new at this, I recently voted my support for a Good Article Nomination and it was struck out, by you, stating I had less then 50 mainspace edits. After reading the "How to vote" section I was under the impression that the 50 edit mainspace edits rule applied only to the Featured Article Nominations, as it is only stated in the Featured Article Nominations, "How to vote" section and not in the Good Article Nominations, "How to vote" section. I'm just wondering if you could please point out where this is on the Good Article Nomination page. Thank you for your time and sorry for the inconvenience. VadersFist666 08:07, June 24, 2010 (UTC)

Jai'galaar, Commander Most often referred to simply as Jag, this clone commander was officially designated CT-55/11-9009. Jag proved early in his career that he was an exceptional pilot, but he was flash-trained as a leader. Jag first saw action during the Battle of Geonosis, where he served as a comannder of the 127th Gunship Wing. Although he was later demoted to captain for his failure during the Retreat at Katraasii, Jag was among the pilots chosen by Jedi Master Plo Koon to serve as a test pilot on the new ARC-170 fighter. Jag remained attached to Plo Koon's forces, serving as the Jedi Master's wingmate during the struggle for control of Cato Neimoidia. This put him in perfect position when the command to execute Order 66 was issued. Captain Jag simply placed his vessel behind Plo Koon's and fired on the Jedi fighter causing it to crash into the side of a building and explode.

TCW Character Encyclopedia

Hey Jang, I'm planning on picking up a copy of the Complete Character Encyclopedia when it's available at my book store, but until then, I was wondering if you would do me the favor of telling me if—besides her confirmed last name—the encyclopedia provides any new information on Suu. Also, in regards to the last name, does it specify if she took Cut's name, or if he adopted her? Thanks for the info! Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 06:06, June 27, 2010 (UTC)

The Clone Wars

The Clone Wars I have spent hours trying to figure out the years of the clone wars. After a while I came to a conclution: Seasons 1 & 2 of Star Wars:Clone Wars [chapters 1-21] take up the year 22 BBY. Star wars the clone wars seasons 1 & 2, take up 21 BBY. Seasons 3 & 4 of star wars the clone wars will take up 20 BBY. Season 5 of star wars the clone wars will take half of 19 BBY. I know there will be 5 seasons because I saw an interview with george lucas saying that there would be 100 episodes with 5 seasons. I also know that Phase 2 clone trooper armor was given in 20 BBY. I saw an interview with george lucas saying that phase 2 clone armor will be given in season 3. 20 BBY. —Unsigned comment by 71.254.193.42 (talk • contribs).

CT wording tweak

Hi! Just letting you know that the wording of a ct you've recently voted in has changed slightly. It went from 'If a droid has gender-specific programming, refer to them as "he" or "she" rather than "it".' to 'If a droid has gender-specific programming and is predominantly referred to as "he" or "she" in canon, refer to them as "he" or "she" rather than "it".' Very minor tweak. Let me know if you hate it. Menkooroo 05:19, August 30, 2010 (UTC)

R3-S6

Hey, JangFett. I noticed you recently expanded R3-S6 quite a bit, so I'm guessing you must have access to most of that droid's appearances and sources? I've actually been working on an expansion of R3-series astromech droid, but I've been hamstrung by a lack of sources with regard to Goldie, who is probably the most well-represented R3 in canon. Do you happen to know whether there is anything in his many appearances and sources that pertains to R3 units in general? For example, I was able to access The Clone Wars Character Encyclopedia at Amazon.com, and it gives a name for the recharge coupling socket at the droid's base. Stuff like that (technical data, data about use of R3s in the Clone Wars, etc.). Anything I should worry about, or is it pretty much all data pertinent just to this particular unit? If necessary, I can track down some of the sources myself, but it'd be nice to know which ones are more likely to contain pertinent info for R3 units as a group rather than just R3-S6. Thanks for any pointers! ~ SavageBob 13:41, September 2, 2010 (UTC)

  • Thanks for your note. That should save me a lot of time trying to track down all those R3-S6 sources! ~ SavageBob 06:21, September 9, 2010 (UTC)

Hevy

If you go over to [3] right now, there's a bunch datacards on the homepage. Look for Hevy, and it'll say "Also designated CT-782,...". Plus it says he's a Clone cadet.--Alexyodaross 00:30, September 15, 2010 (UTC)Alexyodaross

  • My bad, it's [4].--Alexyodaross 00:38, September 15, 2010 (UTC)Alexyodaross
    • Something occurred to me regarding the conflicts of different sources regarding Hevy's designation number. All sources until this point, which depict him as a clone trooper, listed him as CT-26-6958. One episode, which is confirmed to be a prequel episode to all the other sources, has him designated CT-782. Seems to me, the CT-782 was his designation as a cadet, and it was changed to the longer number after graduation. Speculation, yes, but so is assuming that the CT-782 supersedes previous sources. Just something worth considering. - JMAS 20px Hey, it's me! 15:13, September 22, 2010 (UTC)
      • Actually, regardless of whether what JMAS has said is speculation, per point 2 of the naming policy's "Be precise" rule we should use CT-26-6958 because it's the name given to him during the later IU time period. Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 15:51, September 22, 2010 (UTC)
        • Heh that's TCW for ya. Since the first two seasons are established canon, they have to get around to contradicting them now—there're no discretion when it comes to what canon they contradict, even if it's their own! :P But do we know this is meant to be a canonical replacement number and not just an earlier designation? If it's meant to be his actual number, disregarding the earlier given one, then it should stay, but if it's just one he held as a cadet, or if we just don't know yet, then my opinion is that it should be moved back. But I'll defer to you and CC in this, since you guys definitely know more about the ordeal and TCW as a whole than I do. Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 16:17, September 22, 2010 (UTC)
          • That was my thinking as well. Since we just don't know right now that the "cadet number" replaces the later IU number from, the later IU number should stay. I like TCW, but it really sucks how they force the needs for this kind of discussion. - JMAS 20px Hey, it's me! 19:03, September 22, 2010 (UTC)

Hey there Jang. I hope you don't mind me making an observation on the Hevy updates that were made, regarding the image placement. You have the picture of him showing his tattoo in the "Training on Kamino" section. That picture from from when he was stationed on Rishi moon, and secondly, none of them had their distinguishing tattoos while they were in training on Kamino, so it doesn't seem as though it fits in that section. I think swapping locations with the Z-6 blaster shot in P&T would be better placement, and still fitting within each section. Just a thought. - JMAS 20px Hey, it's me! 16:39, October 2, 2010 (UTC)

Fives and Echo

[[:File:EchoFivesPromoted-ARCT.jpg|right|thumb|150px]] Hey Jang. I just wanted to point out a few tidbits of info for Echo, Fives, and Hevy; the "Clone Cards" on the SW.com TCW page can all be used as sources, and all three clones are additionally mentioned in {{InsiderCite|120|Third Wave}}, which is the Filoni interview. Filoni says that "Both Echo and Fives will have roles throughout this season," so that might be worth mentioning if you get the chance. Anyway, good luck with those guys—the updating should be fun. :P CC7567 (talk) 08:27, September 17, 2010 (UTC)

Ahsoka practices Form V

Ahsoka Tano utilises Form V; that has been confirmed and I think she should be put in the notable practitioners section. Give me one good reason why she isn't in that section. Her use of Form V is probably more notable than her use of Form IV, yet she's in the notable practitioners section of the Form IV article.--UnlimitedPower 23:15, September 21, 2010 (UTC)

  • Excuse me but my information was not unverified. I put in the source for goodness sake! As I said before, her use of Form V is more notable than her use of Form IV.--UnlimitedPower 23:27, September 21, 2010 (UTC)
    • You still haven't given a good reason about why she shouldn't be in the notable practitioners section.--UnlimitedPower 23:30, September 21, 2010 (UTC)
      • I can think of several reasons why she should be in the notable practitioners section. For one thing she's a signature character and Shien is her signature style. For another she defeated three magnaguards all by herself and I promise you that she did use the reverse grip during the duel. A third reason is because she used Shien against Asajj Ventress on the Tranquility and during a deleted scene in the Clone Wars movie (which is still part of canon as far as I know and even if it isn't the duel on the Tranquility definately is). Another reason is because she can deflect bolts precisely towards her opponents, doing so at least twice in the clone wars movie and when she fought Cad Bane, and that's one of the main applications of Shien. And a fifth reason is that she's very skilled with the style. There's plenty of reasons why she should be in the notable practitioners section.--UnlimitedPower 15:21, September 22, 2010 (UTC)
        • You're a stubborn guy (I'm tempted to call you a git because you're really irritating me. Oh alright I admit I did call you a git when I first wrote this.). Ahsoka is in the notable practitioners section of Ataru and her use of Ataru is less notable than her use of Shien, since she'd seen using Shien more often. And it's impossible to mistake her fighting style for any other form of lightsaber combat since Shien's the only one that involves holding the lightsaber in reverse grip. Besides sources aren't always accurate; some clever and deceptive people can put their own information into so called "reliable" sites. True Ahsoka's Shien may be combined with Ataru and Djem So and perhaps even Niman (Ahsoka is stated to practice all of those styles) but Shien is still an individual fighting style even when combined with others. Plus there is an official source showing she uses Form V, and she uses both variants of it, so you don't have any good reason to not put her in the notable practitioners section. I think you're just refusing because you want to piss me off (and even if you're not, your still succeeding in pissing me off).--UnlimitedPower 15:39, September 22, 2010 (UTC)
          • This is UnlimitedPower speaking; I would talk to you in person (I expect you know what I mean by that) except I've been kicked off the site for the time being. I probably deserved it for what I wrote the last time I wrote to you. I apologise for the rude things I put in the last bit of writing, such as calling you a git; I realise that it was both rude and unecessary. And I want you to know that I'm not just apologising in the hopes that my UnlimitedPower username will be allowed back on the site. My ban isn't permanent and as I said before I probably deserved it. However I still believe that Ahsoka should be put into the notable practitioners section of Form V, for all the reasons I gave when I last wrote to you. Shien is Ahsoka's signature style and there is at least one source to confirm she uses Form V. One source is all that's needed to get a character into the notable practitioners section. Besides in the Shii-Cho article I saw Yoda in the notable practitioners section and there was no source to confirm he was a practitioner. I know he teaches Shii-Cho but I've never seen him use it. We all know his signature style is Ataru yet he got into the notable Shii-Cho practitioners section anyway despite the fact that nobody put in a source to confirm it. If Yoda's allowed in the Shii-Cho article then Ahsoka should be put in the Shien/Djem So notable practitioners section since she does have at least one source to confirm she uses it, plus she practices all three variants of the style. If you think about it Form V apparently has three varients; Djem So, the standard grip varient of Shien and the reverse grip varient of Shien. Personally I think Shien should be a completely seperate form of lightsaber combat.--87.115.129.216 20:05, September 23, 2010 (UTC)

Holocron Vault

To JangFett and Purpilia: regardless of who may be in error, please stop warring on the Holocron Vault page. Any further conflict will result in the page being locked and potential blocks being handed out, as this is not the first time that both of you have initiated a revert war on the page. Please instead discuss the problem with each other and reach a proper agreement more peaceably instead of grappling over it and turning the site into a battleground. Thank you. Sphere of Influence

Hi. I dont know why you deleted my edit in the talk page, however I see you are a TCW expert and perhaps could answer me. In the Clone Wars article someone put a section called Blockade of Pantora (a 3rd season event) right before the pre-existing section Destruction of the Felucia Medical Center (a 2nd season event). The article of Sphere of Influence doesn't mention anywhere that the episode takes place during the 2nd season timeframe, specifically before the episode where "Destruction of the Felucia Medical Center" appears. So I must inquire whether there is some source which confirms this particular timing, and if yes, it should have a reference in the article. That's all.

Re: 21 BBY?

Yeah, that's what the book said. To be honest, I don't think that 22 BBY date was completely verifiable anyway; as far as I can remember, the only indicator to the 22 BBY date in the TCW novel was that Skywalker was twenty, and that could technically have meant that the story could have been in 21 BBY too if he hadn't had his "birthday" yet. Anyway, the new dating eases up the original Clone Wars timeline a bit, as Skywalker apparently isn't made a Knight until 21 BBY. I'll talk to you later if I get the chance, but that's about it. Cheers. CC7567 (talk) 06:55, October 11, 2010 (UTC)

Coruscant Main Image vote

Hey, since the main image was voted on, I can not change it without a "re-vote". I made several changes to the screen shot from Episode 1 including lighting, sharpness, color, etc. and the updated version is on Coruscant's talk page. Since you were one of the original voters, could you please look at the image again and vote? Coruscantfan 16:20, October 11, 2010 (UTC)

Tucker

First of all thank you for taking a look on him, despite your work to update those clones. But could you explicite state what on the three objetions ins not adressed. The first is clarified, the second word was rephrased and the intro seems fine. Thanks for your time, Lee. Clone Commander Lee Talk 18:04, October 11, 2010 (UTC)

Why is that unnecessary?

Since I see the article is already grouping into systems and sometimes there are entire regions named in an episode, it made sense to group them that way. It's also a bit more informative. Don't see why you had to remove it, since I didn't remove information, I even added a planet that had been forgotten. Nephyswig 11:24, October 12, 2010 (UTC)

  • The problem is, some regions are mentioned/seen in episodes and some aren't. The Mid Rim, Outer Rim and Wild Space are all mentioned in the TCW movie/series, and every episode showcasing a world inside a region, technically counts as an appearance by it. I initially planned not to have the Expansion Region link over Dorin, given the planet is only mentioned, not seen. In summary, it would be a bit more tidy to group locations alphabetically underneath regions, imo. Nephyswig 15:21, October 12, 2010 (UTC)

GAs

Could you possible tell me what a mess I made. Was there something wrong withe refs? I apologize for my behaviour. Won't happen again. Clone Commander Lee Talk 12:05, October 13, 2010 (UTC)

  • If you meant the era sourcing, I took it strictly by your example, because you had linked it to the TCWnovel. So I corrected it as the other TCW references. Nevertheless, sorry. Clone Commander Lee Talk 12:07, October 13, 2010 (UTC)

Ahsoka talk page

Hey, Jang. I've got some time off from school for a bit, and I'm planning to watch the Ahsoka talk page a bit more closely. I've noticed you policing it pretty well, but I was wondering if it wouldn't be against policy to leave some of the stray comments rather than removing them, at least when they're not completely off-topic. Like the Callie person's comments you recently removed, they were suggesting ideas for the article, not the topic of the article, so I had planned to tell them that we have to wait till the episodes air, etc. etc. and to sign comments properly. At any rate, I figured many of these people are newcomers who don't understand how we work just yet, but they could be converted into regular, productive users with a bit of TLC, like by answering their comments with suggestions on how to contribute properly. What do you think? ~ SavageBob 21:20, December 15, 2010 (UTC)

  • Hey, no worries. I agree that anything message-boardish should be removed; where it gets fuzzier is when people are saying things like, "Shouldn't we add to her article that [blah blah blah speculation]." We both seem to be watching the page, so if you get there first, feel free to respond as you see fit, and I'll do the same. :) ~ SavageBob 15:51, December 16, 2010 (UTC)
