Apologies
Well, there's really no problem to me - I find out little sparring matches to be very entertaining. Since I'm relatively new to Wookiepedia, I was a bit taken aback by your...way of going about things, and so I responded in kind. So I am to fault as well. I came very close, or did resort to personal attacks, and for that I am truly sorry. I can see that your demeanor has improved, and I hope that mine has well. I also hope that we can continue these discussions in a civilised and constructive manner. Thanks, .... 22:55, 5 November 2006 (UTC)

- No, thank you. ;) .... 23:33, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
- Look, I'm trying to pull back on the personal insults, and if "pathetic" came to close to being personal then for that I am truly sorry. But when it comes to a debate I'm going to argue nail tooth and claw. I don't give concession. That's just the way I roll. .... 01:00, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
- Thefourdot, I was the same way with arguments. I'm trying to stop being like that because it gets really annoying and people start developing grudges. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 01:02, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
- I have no grudge. I have no personal feelings whatsoever in these debates. I'm just fighting for what is, in my eyes, the betterment of Wookiepedia. And as long as the arguements don't hurt anyone, I'm going to continue them, namely because they're constructive - Erik is now cleaning up and improving Palpatine, Rune Haako is now an FA, and if all goes well, Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader will be merged. You don't have to participate in these little debates, but you do, and I respect you for it, because you've got the patience to debate in a civilised manner...most of the time. Once again, if I get personal, tell me, because I'll pull back right away, but anything outside of that is on. .... 01:09, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
- The problem is, we're all fighting for the betterment of Wookieepedia. And since there was no consensus on the Anakin/Vader merge, they won't be merged. And if you want to give it another shot, I'd wait a while to do so. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 01:13, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
- Uh...you might want to read that page again. .... 01:18, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

- Well, policy is policy. I've already set up a temp page. You can put up a vote for a separation, but I'd wait a while to do so. .... 01:22, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
- Right now, it doesn't matter to me if they're merged; I just find the fact that someone voting for the merge said that, if there was no consensus, there would be no merge. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 01:26, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

Chistori Force-phobia
Why did you remove the part about Chistori shunning Force-Sensitives? In Jedi Outcast Luke says Desann hailed from a world unused to the wonders of the Force, and thus he was seen as a freak and treated as an outcast.DarthMRN
- I'm pretty sure because it was included as a part of a vandal's edits to the article. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 01:19, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
- As in "Its not true because it is never confirmed that Desann's hoeworld was the Chistori homeworld", or as in "This user was a vandal, so everything he wrote must be untrue?"DarthMRN
- Watch it. I'm only looking out for Wookieepedia. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 21:32, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
- You have yet to answer my question. Since you didn't even bother bringing it up on the talk page before removing it, I assume you had a very good reason. I'd like to hear it, since I'm not all that convinced it was wrong.DarthMRN
- Will you knock it off already? That anon was vandalizing articles. I did what I had to do, and that was to revert his edits. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 00:43, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
- Okay, I will repeat myself as clearly as I can: Do you have any reason to doubt that the Chistori homeworld was not in fact, Force-phobic, even though Luke says that the Chistori Desann hailed from a world where his Force Sensitivty was a source of great fear and social abuse? If not, then I will re-add it to the article.DarthMRN
- And I'll repeat myself again: I only removed it because a vandal added it. Right now, I could care less about the Chistori article. Add the sentence in. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 00:56, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

- I'm not interested in more discussions with McE, so I just posted the source for the Mon Cal ship in the article. There's nothing more to add, so you needn't ask. I also explained in the thread above where the picture was found. VT-16 20:58, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

Viscount-class Star Defender
Dear sir,
Thank you for your most valuable assistance on the aforementioned article - cleanup and also working on that ship infobox. Last night (or at least for me, I don't know what timezone you're in), I thought we might get into a tremendous edit war on the topic of **30 missiles per tube or :Ammunition:30 missles per tube, but at least we got that resolved.
Thanks!
Oh, and please do reply on people's talk pages. No offense intended, but it's much easier for other people, and if people don't check your talk page regularly, conversations can fall through the cracks.
Thanks!
Cheers,

Thanks, man. I know you've been on Wookieepedia a while, and some might say you're our official character/de facto leader. But anyway, thanks for your help on the Palpatine quotes, along with Mr. Elipse. Quotes make the world go around. Much thanks, Vladius Magnum

Senate Hall post
- Admiral Jack, please don't take what I just posted on the Senate Hall wrongly. I'm not meaning any offense to you, and I've tried to be courteous and work with both you and Kuralyov equally. I appreciate the work you've done—I never could have done all that you've contributed to this wiki—and have tried to express that. Both of you have done so much for this wiki, but this fighting between you is pointless and it probably makes the ED writer happy anyway. I'm just frustrated by our own inner conflict when we have these vandal characters to deal with. Atarumaster88 20px (Audience Chamber) 03:40, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
- The problem is, Kuralyov has abused his powers in the past, and falsely accusing me of infecting his computer with a virus and threatening me and Razzy with a ban because of it doesn't make it any better. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 14:22, 11 November 2006 (UTC)

Misunderstanding
I am sorry if, on the discussion on which images to ax from the Anakin article, I insulted you, as it wasn't my intention, and I didn't mean to be haughty or anything. I wasn't sure, but I thought I might have accidentally said something, since you didn't reply, and I felt bad about it. If it was anything I said (or wrote...) that offended you, I apologize. -Solus 01:03, 14 November 2006 (UTC)

I agree with you on most of it. The one or two I did think should be removed I gave reasons for, and even then I don't mind letting it slide. Technical note about your talk page archives
I notice that all of your archives have titles of the form "User talk:Jack Nebulax Archive x", which is actually the talk page for hypothetical user "Jack Mebulax Archive x." If you move them to "User talk:Jack Nebulax/Archive x", they will be counted as part of your pages, and will automatically have a link back to your current talk page at the top. See User talk:Silly Dan/Archive1 for an example. So, you might want to move them, adjust the links, mark the old redirects for deletion, etc. Cheers, —Silly Dan (talk) 13:38, 14 November 2006 (UTC)

Tarkin Quote
- You re-added the Moff part onto the quote for Imperial-I class Star Destroyer and wondered why I removed it. I did because it seemed that it like we had a precedent on not adding titles. It's just a minor thing and I don't really care, I just wanted to explain my reasoning. Chack Jadson 15:21, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
- Usually, having no titles is for that character's bolded name on their article, but that's not even enforced. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 15:22, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, I know, but whatever. We really don't have a standard for quotes. Sometimes there are links in a quote, even when it's unnecessary, and sometimes the speakers name is linked, sometimes not. Chack Jadson 15:25, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah. There's been issues in the past over links in quotes, and there probably still will be some down the road. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 15:28, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
- I bet you're right. We need a policy. I say, remove all links in quotes, but make the speakers name linked. Chack Jadson 15:31, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
- Well, I know Imp will vote against that. There is a bit on this in the Manual of Style, but that wasn't enforced until about two or three weeks ago. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 15:33, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

Em dashes
Hi Jack, why did you change the actual em dashes (—) to the em dash code (—) on the OOM-9 article? The code makes the article a lot harder to read in edit mode. --Xwing328(Talk) 16:34, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
- They aren't the same to me. The dashes before I change them were small dashes. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 20:45, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
- Hmm, it's probably because they look so similar in edit mode. Look to see if you can tell a difference: - — --Xwing328(Talk) 21:15, 19 November 2006 (UTC)

Okay my language was a bit crude but you get the picture. Stop making everything anybody does personal to you. The fact that you complained to me and the admins for me doing nothing against the rules shows that you are insecure. —Unsigned comment by Herbsewell (talk • contribs)

Talk:V6-series pilot droid
I realize that the user's comment wasn't phrased as a question, but I think one was implied. Besides, the comment wasn't completely off-topic: he did talk about the subject of the article, and had something concrete to say about it. Rather than snapping at the next user you see making an "off-topic comment" on a talk page — and despite using the word "please", it did come off as snappish to me — try to work out if there's a way to respond to the comment while keeping the discussion on-topic. —Silly Dan (talk) 23:55, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
- The use of the words "holy cow" told me he didn't mean it as a question. You don't say "Holy cow, is this thing meant to look like an astromech?" And I've said that same sentence to other people in the past, and you've been the first to say anything like that about it. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 02:02, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
Venator and Venator
AS far as I know, "Venator" should be capitalized only if it's Venator-class, not without the -class. I see you edited one instance of it in the Venator's article. Are you absolutely sure it is the right way? - TopAce 18:57, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
- You mean having "Venator" in italics without "-class"? Well, that's how I was taught in school to do it. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 18:59, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
Stubs
I reverted your edits on the Z-wing page because there isn't any more information on the subject...stub templates are only to be used when there's more information that needs to be added to the article...it should not just be added to all small articles, as there may be nothing that can be expanded. —Jaymach Ral'Tir (talk) 19:53, 24 November 2006 (UTC)

Hello Jack, I BobafettH23 have created a new Friday Night Fight Page. I would appericate it if you would compete in this event. All you have to do is go to my userpage, and click on the user subpage link. Enter 1 powerful chacter in the line-up, and on Friday, you will be voting and fighting other users chacters. I will give an award each week for the winner. I would like it if you would stop by and play. Thanks. User:BobafettH23
- Sure thing. I'm already thinking of a good character to enter. ;) Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 11:59, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
Advice
I need advice. Have you seen this? I feel really bad for gunking up the site with made up stuff that doesn't matter (on my userpage), and not editing or helping enough articles. Originally, my plan was to get integrated with everybody and try to do what other people do so I could free up some time to help more, but I'm afraid I'm not really doing the right thing.User: Vladius Magnum
- Well, what you want to do is just find an article you know a lot about. Then contribute whatever you can to it. Having a fanon userpage is fine, but you want to have some good edits to other articles to keep it all balanced. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 21:22, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
Thanks. I really need to start clicking "Random article" a lot more...

Re:Sheathipede-class shuttle image
Aye, it was. However, it was of horrible quality and there was no room in the article for it. =) I'm sure a better version can be uploaded. --Imp 22:01, 2 December 2006 (UTC)

RFA
- Jack, I'm requesting that you not give up on your RFA yet. In the IRC yesterday, a couple of the admins said they'd consider voting for you if there was a provision to take away powers, because they fear abuse. For me, it's really hard to decide how to vote. I mean, I consider you a great user, but well, you know your flaws. Understand that I and several other users are not unsympathetic towards you. BTW, can I borrow your Thrawn box from your userpage? Atarumaster88 20px (Audience Chamber) 17:35, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
- I don't want to be treated differently. The admins are already claiming I'm going to abuse admin powers if I become one. They're not giving me a chance. I'm trying to improve, but they don't care. And yes, you can borrow my Thrawn box. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 17:38, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
- Understandable. And I did decide to give you support, albeit with strong caveats on your behaviour if it means anything to you. I'm also trying to moderate Herbsewell on the RFA page. Thanks for the box. Atarumaster88 20px (Audience Chamber) 17:44, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
- Just trust in God and in the community. It'll all work out some day. Atarumaster88 20px (Audience Chamber) 17:44, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
Could not have said it better myself. Don't worry Jack. User:BobafettH23
- My behavior's changing; Herbsewell is the only thing in my way in that aspect. Anyway, I want to see if I can get that admin trial thing. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 19:14, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

Possible admin trial period
This is where I hope to get a response from some people. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 20:51, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
- The thing with that is, the bureaucrats can make you an admin, but we have to contact Wikia staff to take it away. The only way around that is if Wikia codes a seperate user level between admin and regular user, or they give bureaucrats the power to take away adminship, but it's already been stated that they won't do either one. I personally don't like the idea...either the community trusts you or they don't, and to make an example out of you by giving you a trial period doesn't seem fair. StarNeptuneTalk to me! 20:59, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
- The problem is, some people say they trust me (or make it seem like they do), yet they voted against making me an admin because of my previous behavior issues. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 21:33, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
- I'm not sure it's such a good idea, as it's likely to set an undesirable precedent. Sorry mate. I think you need to spend much less time on talk pages, and more time on the actual articles, and then, only then, an admin will you be. --Azizlight 22:59, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
- Then it's probably time to end the RfA for me. Another failure. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 00:13, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
- You probably know what I'm going to say. I agree that you should stick to articles more and less on talk. -- Riffsyphon1024 06:08, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
- Well, I'm sorry, but I'm not going to take that suggestion. I want to show people I'm improving. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 12:06, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
- I agree with you on that Jack. And you've got to be as tough on yourself as you are on vandals; think about how you are going to respond before you respond (the great weakness of the internet is that we can't see each other's faces or hear each other's voices, we can only assume someone else's intentions by their words on the screen, ie. if you TYPE LIKE THIS people think you are shouting, so you've got to learn to get your point across with a little more eloquence). Of course that takes both time and patience -if you look at my debate with Fourdot on demerging the Anakin/Vader page, the response time is about an hour per post, an hour I spent in crafting a response that would get my side across without belittling or dismissing anybody else's point. I'm sure you're aware of the old saying that the rewards that please us the most are the ones that we've worked the hardest to get, so keep up the good work on the sites, keep working on your P's and Q's, and you'll get admin. It may take a while but its better than that whole 'probationary period' idea. That's like giving a certain somebody a seat on the Jedi Council, but without granting them the status of 'Master'.Tocneppil 22:43, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
- What? That's outrageous. It's unfair. It's insulting. How can you be on the Council and not be a Master? ;) Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 23:12, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

Sorry
Hey Jack, this whole thing is really my fault. I never should have nominated you, (not that don't you deserve it) people just won't let things go. I feel really bad about the whole thing. Iam sorry. User:BobafettH23
- Yeah, to quote the RFA page: " please ensure they accept the nomination first ". The nominee should have a chance to decline the nomination, in the event that they do not want to be an admin or that they think they would lose the vote. It would save a lot of people's time, and in some cases even embarrassment. --Azizlight 09:27, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
- I accepted it, but I knew it was going to be a failure. Don't worry, Bobafett. Maybe in the far future it will finally work out. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 12:06, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

To be honest, I think the more you keep trying the more it puts people off. The Admins who get the overwhelming majorities in their favour, such as Sentry, are generally the ones who aren't looking for a nomination and are surprised when they get it. The fact you have an infobox (that does look rather arrogant in some respects) on your page outright declaring your intentions to become an admin and taking pride in the fact that someone called you a de facto one isn't doing you any favours. You've also got the problem that you've rubbed a lot of people up the wrong way on talk pages (as you seem to be aware), including myself on a couple of occasions and that you have (or did, I've not been stalking you recently ;) ) a tendency to miss the point of someone's argument and/or invent one for them - the stuff that went down on the Sith'ari talk page being a prime example. Sometimes it's best to just say, "Whoops, yeah, made a mistake". In my experience people respect you more for it.
I'd advise you to stop worrying about being an admin, concentrate purely on improving Wookieepedia (as you are a very dilligent user) and see where fate takes you. Later man, don't let yourself get so wound up :). (Ulicus 16:32, 14 December 2006 (UTC))
- I don't care anymore. The fact is, the admins aren't willing to give me a chance. And to be honest, I don't care what anyone thinks about my infobox on my userpage—a de facto admin is the farthest I'll ever be able to go. Grand Admiral J. Star Destroyer article
Do me a favor. Go take a look at the page. Look at the Sources section. Now tell me again that it is the correct way. - JMAS 21:19, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
- Such an external link is allowed in the Sources section. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 21:33, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry to go off on a tangent here, but this reminds me of an external link I recently discovered in the Birth and rebirth section of the Revenge of the Sith article (end of second paragraph, right after Yoda declares becoming a student to Qui-Gon's way of seeing the Force, or something to that effect). I couldn't find anything that connected to it, but didn't take it out. Could you check on it Jack?Tocneppil 03:51, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
- I can check on it, but not at the moment. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 11:48, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
- I think I know what he was referring to. There were a couple of superscript 1s, one there and one after the paragraph about Yoda heading to Dagobah. They were literally just 1 with no link to anything. Having looked at older versions, there was once a note that the scenes weren't actually shown in the film, but that went a long time ago and they never linked to it anyway so I took them out. Green Tentacle (Talk) 12:07, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
- Okay, then. I was just about to look at it, too. ;) Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 12:09, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
