X-wing pilot names
I would be grateful if you would add the p[ilot names in the appropriate articles. For example, I just added Samuel Raider et al in the Intrepid article, guided by their own articles. Since you have read the guide, it will be easier for you. MoffRebus 21:56, 17 July 2006 (UTC)

- Background info fom the X-wing storyline is really the best thing I could (not) think. Thank you!!! MoffRebus 09:14, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
Hey, which mission was that with the Talon? Was it Farlander's First Mission in the historical ones? MoffRebus 23:32, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, the strategy guide goes into a lot of detail on that one then says that a simplified version (without boarding Talon) was added to historical combat afterwards. Green tentacle 08:13, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

Can you add some info here? Relentless (Sunaj IV) MoffRebus 02:01, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
- I've added all I can. The story part of the strategy guide ends after tour 3 so I've only been able to expand on the missions, and the fact that Farlander flew in them. Green tentacle 08:20, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
Articles for ship names
You have removed the article of the Ship Mercy in it's article. But Wookieepedia rules say that ship names should be used with article. See Wookieepedia:Manual_of_Style#Class_and_ship_names. Pi8ch 08:56, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry, you're quite right. We used to do it without the definite article but they changed it in June and I hadn't looked at the Manual of Style since. Green tentacle 09:16, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
- Ok - thanks for the info. I wondered why so many Ship articles do not use the article. ;-) Another question from a non-native English speaker: I thought in English shipnames are always used with articles anyway? Pi8ch 09:47, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
- Honestly, I don't know. I have heard them used a lot, but I think people in the Navy generally don't use the definite article. I'm not sure whether there's a rule on it, English is a funny language and I never got taught grammar in school (we did more on grammar in French and German than in English). Green tentacle 10:06, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
- Hehe. At least in German the article would be used. In addition in German ships are always feminine as well. You know: The sailor's bride.... ;-). Well ok - then we simply follow the wookiee rules! Pi8ch 10:16, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

- You're welcome. The book certainly makes it easier, with a canonical description of each mission (so you can actually say which ships Farlander destroyed) and a list of all ships in every mission. It'll take me forever to get through it all though! Green Tentacle (Talk) 18:59, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

- Oh, I feel so dumb now. You were saying about the same transports, but the dash made my contributions show redlinked and I enver bother read the NUM<BERS. So I guess there is no problem then, no 'phantom' transports I was worrying about. Thanks for clearing this up!!! MoffRebus 21:30, 20 November 2006 (UTC)

Wow, just a second after I cast my votes, you'd already responded about it on my talk page. Keeping a sharp watch on the forum, huh? ^^ Anyway, I know that it's about whether or not to include the Vader image, and I voted to keep the present image in the article and I stated my reasons as well. I may be voting for a losing side, but it's the side I believe in and I plan to stick with it unless persuaded otherwise, which I have not been yet. I apologize in advance if I have not yet grasped what you are saying. :P —Mirlen 14:10, 2 December 2006 (UTC)

Wookiee villager
Hello there ! I want to ask why do you wanna delete the article about wookiee villager ?i know that are no sources but are appearances, is from the game.Im looking forward for you answer !Darth Nospher 18:58, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
- Articles (except for book, game, film, author, actor, etc) should be written from an in-universe perspective which rules out the part about the "Chewbacca campaign from Galactic Battlegrounds". What you're left with is the existence of Wookiees who live in villages. They're only a group as far as the game is concerned (from an IU perspective they're just a group of Wookiees) and we don't do articles on things which only exist for games. Therefore it should either be deleted or, as I need a name suggested, redirect to Wookiee. Green Tentacle (Talk) 20:31, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

Galactic Battlegrounds Aurebesh translations
- Actually, just about every misspelling in this section is [sic] because the text is apparently riddled with errors. Personally, I'd support removing the section entirely because it contains several of the typos in the Hunt, and there's too many of them to mark [sic]. ‘Forseen’ is just the tip of the iceberg, but for what it's worth, that's a misspelling in the source material. Enochf 18:30, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
- I don't know. A [sic] at the top might not be visible to someone correcting errors. I've puzzled over this for a while, but never came up with any solution (aside from deleting the section, and that wouldn't really be fair to the person who included it; it's not his fault). Forum:Featured Article Reform Proposal
Is there anything we can do to change your mind on the issue? We're not trying to exclude people, and the community as a whole will still make the final decision. It's just a quality buffer and a way to make the FA and GA pages more efficient. Also, we do need another member. If you do change your idea, I think your work on Bria Tharen would make you qualified to be on this "council" of sorts. Cull Tremayne 00:47, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for your long and well thought out response. I understand your reluctance, and yes, it's easy to see that this is just a pointless power-grab. I'm not going to say that I don't find having a little bit of power over FA entertaining. However, I do think that this will help the FA process for the better. I don't know if you've seen this, but there are so many articles that are nominated just because they are a main character in the films or books. Anakin Skywalker is constantly nominated just because he's the main character of Star Wars, even though the article is nowhere near what we want for FA quality. So why I know that this seems unneeded and just power hungry, I think FA still needs it.
- I agree with your first point. I guess there is no real need for the Inquisitorius to have that power. The way you've described could work fine. However, I also think if we had a team "assigned" to doing this, it would work much faster and more efficiently. As it is, people usually only vote for articles that they have a personal connection to. Think how much harder it will be to get people to vote "down" an objection. On top of the fact that people have a hesitance to "remove" other people's words, I think that leaving it up to the community to strike objections will only make the FA more stagnant and boring. Once again, if a team is assigned to doing it, I think it would work so much better.
- Once again, I agree. We are going a little overboard here. Downgrading an article should be left up to the community as a whole. However, my problem is once again that there is an misunderstanding among people that aren't involved in FA. Imagine trying to "downgrade" Boba Fett. There are so many people that are fans of Fett, myself included, that will see this as a slight against the character, when really it's a call to action to make the article better. Also, we'll have to deal with people that are just opposed to downgrading any article. With these two factors, "downgrading" will become impossible, even though it is something that FA desperately needs. So while I think that the community "should" get a say, I just think that it will damage the idea of "downgrading" completely.
- Here's where I think I might be changing my mind. If the Inquisitorius was a WookieeProject, then anyone could join, which might be more fair. However, I still need some convincing, I want to make sure that we don't attract people who have little interest in FA, hate the thought of "downgrading" articles, and don't even understand the point of FAs. If we could do this without making it official, I'd be all for it.
- Maybe you're right, but can't this go both ways? How about a trial period for the Inquisitorius? I know this will help the FA and the Community for the better.
I respect your decision, and I totally understand your stance. Note: I still think you'd be an asset to our power-hungry coup. ;P Cull Tremayne 00:51, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

- Two of the accounts have been banned and he's been given a warning. Green Tentacle (Talk) 13:08, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

I just noticed that User:X-fighter023 created a new account under the name User:Rowbacca. I almost confused it for his signature, but it's definitely a different account now. Is this sock puppetry? --Jedimca0 (Do or Do Not, There is No Try) 12:35, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
- I informed him that he needed to have his user name in his signature and that, if he wanted to be Rowbacca, he would need a new account. There's no problem with it as long as he stops using his old account. Green Tentacle (Talk) 12:50, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
- OK, I was just wondering if this was allowed or not. It appears he stopped using his old account, so there's no problem. Just curios, that's all. --Jedimca0 (Do or Do Not, There is No Try) 12:58, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
Gnom!
Why? Gnom is a real person! He is a Klon! --Heiliger Klingone 15:41, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
Talk Pages
Being fairly new to this wiki, how are the talk pages used? Wikipedia only lets people use the talk page to discuss changes in the article, however some wikis seem to let their talk pages be used like a forum, I notice some of the discussions on the talk page for Order 66 seem more about the general subject and not really concerning edits to the article. Signature
- Thanks, I hadn't noticed. But i don't know how to change it. {{SUBST:DarthAbsig}} 10:45, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
Re: Userbox Templates
- Sorry about that. I wasn't aware that you were meant to do that until now. Thanks :) NighthawkLeader 06:17, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
Chandrilan Resistance
Hi Tentacle. What's your source for the Chandrilan Resistance? Thanks. --Azizlight 07:41, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
- Hmm. Guess I never got around to doing anything with that. I'll rummage around when I get home and find out. Green Tentacle (Talk) 08:59, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
- Actually, got one already; Rebel Dawn—"We're getting recruits in from Alderaan every day," Bria pointed out, truthfully. "And there are so many Bothan and Sullustan Pilgrims on Ylesia, those worlds might send us some troops and ships. It's worth asking them. And what about Chandrila? They're part of the new Rebel Alliance--sworn to help us!" Green Tentacle (Talk) 09:25, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks. If you don't mind, I might just slap a conjecture tag on the article, since the resistance isn't actually named. --Azizlight 01:00, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

Hey
Hey, can you undelete Wesco Pache for a second? I told User:Wesco Pache that his story could be moved to his userpage. He's new and did not know that only NPCs are canon. Thanks. Chack Jadson 12:39, 5 May 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you. Chack Jadson 12:43, 5 May 2007 (UTC)
- No problem. Green Tentacle (Talk) 12:45, 5 May 2007 (UTC)
