Fanart

Just thought I'd let you know, putting the ARC-170 onto a starry background and adding other shrunken down versions of the fighter around it, as you did with File:TacARC170fighterSPRazorSquadron.jpg, is considered fanart, which isn't allowed at Wookieepedia. Just blacking out the background, as Darth Culator had done to File:TacARC170fighterSP.jpg is fine however. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 20:03, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

PocketModels

Uploading

If you are going to continue uploading images, please use the {{Information}} template correctly. The licensing tag goes IN the template, not with a separate heading outside the template. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 19:49, 22 November 2008 (UTC)

    • Two ways to go about it. The easier is to just not touch the drop down licensing box when uploading and directly put the licensing tag in the template. Second option is continue using the drop down box to select the licensing tag, but then editing the summary to move the tag into the template once the image is uploaded. The first option is easier. Trespass

First, the current plot summary is taken from the official site - it should be removed and an original one is to be written. Second, this summary should be in present tense, since it is part of an out-of-universe real world article. Mauser 06:46, 2 February 2009 (UTC)

  • Well, that's what I'm talking about: the summary you edited is taken from [starwars.com] and should be removed before a new one could be written. Also, plot summaries are always considered to be part of out-ot-universe and are written in present tense. Check any other plot summary. Mauser 07:03, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
    • "Articles about books, movies, games, or other real-life Star Wars material should obviously be written from an out-of-universe perspective", that applies to TV episodes as well. Mauser 07:09, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
      • Let's say you wrote original, non-copied summary of the episode Trespass. When you put it in the articles like Orto Plutonia, Chi Cho and Obi-Wan Kenobi it is in-universe, and should be in past tense. But when present in the article for the actual episode, it should be in present tense, like the rest of the article. Note that we never say "Heir to the Empire was a novel"... Battle droid 685

Lag, I'm afraid

Some notes on the trash compactor process

The TC is best saved for when there might be legitimate debate on an article being allowed or not. If it covers the same ground as a proper article, but it's at the wrong title, you can change it to a redirect, possibly with a template like {{R from misspelling}}. If there's no reason for it whatsoever, use a template like {{delete}}. Also, use four tildes to sign your name when you start a TC discussion. Thanks, —Silly Dan (talk) 21:02, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

  • Thanks. I figured it was better to delete them since I was the one who created it and the links associated with it, which I corrected, by the way. But, I see also that the same mistake could be made again since one of the errors was due to an overexposed image. I signed the Tc pages, but two admins reverted them - I didn't know I couldn't correct my mistakes on them, sorry about that. Gethralkin 23:18, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

Ordering Source lists

Please make sure when adding items to an article's Source list that you order the items by correct OOU publication date, per Wookieepedia's Layout Guide. This is especially important when editing Featured articles, such as Tycho Celchu. This particular edit is problematic, since you placed these items in the list incorrectly. Sorry, I see what you mean about the use of the adverb 'ever". However, for the sake of presentation, I changed the opening line to Leia Organa Solo (born Leia Amidala Solo) was at various stages of her life... as it fits with the wiki's uniform article layout better. --Markrox91 03:52, 14 February 2009 (UTC)

I didn't leave Vander's in, I simply wasn't aware of it. The reason I reverted your edit is because the first part of it isn't relevant to the intro, didn't mesh well with the intro, and because it linked to a CCG card. Since you are the person who added the information about the "ST" in ST 321 standing for "Surface Transport" I'm assuming that the information comes from the Pocketmodel TCG. If that is true, could you please include the information in the main body of the article (not only the intro) and properly reference the statement. Well, I got the info from Galaxy Guide 8: Scouts, by Bill Olmesdahl *#38; Bill Smith, West End Games, 1993. However, when looking up the reference, I discovered that I was mistaken in calling it "Surface Transport", and that the initials stand for "Space Transport" instead. Gethralkin, regardless of whether or not Hawk died in the deleted scene, please do not make any major edits without the nominator's permission if the article is currently going through a nomination process.   • I should have been clearer: please do not edit the article at all without the nominator's permission if it's currently going through or has gone through a nomination process. It's up to the nominator to decide what is acceptable quality for the article. Furthermore, yes, you did add unsourced information. Do you see those two last paragraphs of the biography? Do you see how there's no ref number at the end of the sentences? That's unsourced information. Once an article has achieved a higher status, that is the way it should stay unless there is good reason for it. CC7567 (talk) 22:42, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
  • If I may butt in, Gethralkin, I think what CC is trying to say is please don't make huge, sweeping changes that completely alter the dynamic of a nominated article without the nominator's permission. Removing half of an article's content like that just on a whim was not the way to go about it. If you have concerns, please do leave objections to the nomination on the GAN page.
