May I ask why you removed the sentence on the Electric Judgment page about Emerald Lightning being the only Force power capable of affecting the Yuuzhan Vong? Evir Daal 12:02, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, you're right, and there are other occasions later in the series, too, I think. But I believe all those were what you could call "secondary effects", i e the Force affected the air around the Vong (or the like), which affected them. That would still make Emerald Lightning the only power known to directly affect them. I meant to point out this distinction, but somehow forgot about it in my article edit. Is it OK with you if I rewrite it like that? Evir Daal 17:30, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
- I wouldn't call Lightning TK, since that's about moving things. Lightning's raw Dark Side energy released to be used as a weapon, i e it's the Force working directly, while TK (at least sometimes) manipulates the air, which in turn manipulates an object. Mezhan Kwaad explained this in Edge of Victory; though a Jedi such as Tahiri wasn't able to harm the Vong directly through the Force, she could still use TK to, for example, increase local air pressure enough to harm them. Evir Daal 06:50, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
- I checked Star by Star, and apparently Lomi Plo killed a Shaper with some kind of Lightning. I rest my case. Evir Daal 07:31, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
- I was wrong when I put it there in the first place, the Vong apparently weren't immune to other Force techniques, at least other kinds of Lightning. Let's just leave the article it as it is. Thanks for your time, by the way, the discussion gave me some new insights. Evir Daal 07:54, 19 April 2007 (UTC)

CCW People
Nice work on the minor characters from Coruscant and the Core Worlds. I recommend, though, that you begin each article with an intro (prior to the first subsection) or not use sections at all for characters without much information available, as this example illustrates. Nominations
I suggest you read the guidelines at the top of the GAN page before trying to nominate another article for GA status. Otherwise, your nominations will just be removed. Grand Moff Tranner 20px (Comlink) 21:07, September 6, 2009 (UTC)

Edit summary comments
Please watch your language and tone when making comments in edit summaries. Saying things like this is completely unproductive and is going to get you nowhere. If I see this again, you will be blocked from editing. Thank you for your cooperation. Toprawa and Ralltiir 23:46, September 11, 2009 (UTC)

Please don't edit other people's comments, even if they're factually incorrect. -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 00:03, September 13, 2009 (UTC)
RE:
We don't hold it against people when we remove noms; the article was removed due to being unready to go through the GAN process. The GAN should be to refine the article; not to have to tell you what additions to make. I would say before renominating it you should make the changes asked for in objections and ask the objector(s) what they think. If they think you've addressed the biggest of their concerns with the article, then renominate it. Hope that helps. Grunny (Talk) 00:19, September 13, 2009 (UTC)
