Kazuda Xiono

Regarding the section mentioning Kaz's reaction to Hux, if you watch the episode you'll see that he kind of just stands there awkwardly, fumbling around some of his words whenever he speaks to Hux. It's only when leaving the elevator that he shows any semblance of anger. Additionally, Hux does not directly reference Hosnian Prime's destruction; he only states that those who resist the First Order would be faced with destruction. • No, he’s very clearly scowling and troubled, a lot more so when he’s around other First Order personnel. And Hux didn’t need to mention Hosnian Prime, Kaz saw the broadcast in the season one finale and he would easily recognize Hux as the person who gave the order. Kaz is also no stranger to infiltrating the First Order, and you'll see that he almost (very foolishly) blew his cover at the end of the elevator ride due to losing control of his temper. Kaz would not have risked an essential mission by doing such a foolish act to an officer he has no prior history or hostility with. I’ve asked this question myself on Reddit and users almost universally agreed that Kaz without a doubt recognized Hux and was restraining himself. All that seemed off with me was that Kaz didn’t outright attack Hux on sight. Lastly, it’s mentioned on Hux’s page (added by someone who wasn’t me) that Kaz almost attacked Hux in revenge. • A large portion of this appears to be on the basis of assumption, which Wookieepedia has a clear policy against. My intent is to document the events of the episode as it can be defined most concretely - it isn't a matter of personal belief on how the scene panned out. I cannot revert it again due to edit warring policy, but I can still address each point you make. First off, while Kaz is clearly troubled, this could easily be discomfort from being a spy near an officer (Pyre was also present). We cannot assume this, however, just as we cannot assume it was due to recognizing Hux. While it is, however, true, that he did at least become angered at the end of the elevator ride to the point of almost blowing his cover, there was no explicit indication that he was angry prior to the end of the ride. Contextually the anger was likely in relation to Hosnian Prime, but without explicit confirmation or it being addressed by the writers, we cannot assume this. Additionally, the edits on Hux's page should not reflect what another page says, but instead what the source says. Pages are not sources. Lastly, what users on Reddit think is irrelevant in this context, as policy dictates no assumptive reasoning, and only the use of sources or explicit evidence to tie things together. • I will say that the animation for Resistance isn't the best at making facial expressions (in particular subtle or downplayed expressions). And while it is my belief that Kaz's anger and increased susceptibility to Hux's presence is clear as day, if the moderators deem this to cross the line of assumptions then fine, there's nothing I can do about that (not that I care all that much anyways). Your mentioning of Pyre doesn't apply because he didn't show up until after the elevator scene; what I mentioned of Kaz's anger towards Hux was all before Pyre showed up, or during the elevator scene. And look at this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sk-5bryjABk. Kaz is frowning at Hux, with his expression varying within the spectrum of frowning on several time points: 5:13, 5:29, 5:32, 5:35, 5:38, 5:47. I will grant though, that since, again, the animation style of this series isn't the best at clearly conveying subtle emotions, there's room for argument here (although it should be clear to anyone that Kaz is frowning because Hux is the person who ordered the annihilation of his home planet system). The reason why I mentioned what was stated on Hux's page wasn't to give a source; it's because it's not any less speculative on Hux's page as it is to Kaz's page. In other words, this information should either be reflected on both pages, or it shouldn't be on either page at all. AsianAvatar101 (talk) 03:08, 4 July 2022 (UTC)
