"There were four villages up there, little droid, when I first built my humble hut. Then there were three, then two—now just the one. Word is they angered a spirit. A spirit that doesn’t take kindly to settlers."
―The woodcutter — 20?cb=20250116042720 ▶️ (file info)[1]

A hut on the Outer Rim planet Genbara served as the abode of a woodcutter. It was located in the countryside, near a mountain range and four villages. Described by its resident as a humble structure, it had been built by him when he settled on Genbara, as a part of a broader group of settlers striving to rebuild their lives far from the turmoil of war near the Core Worlds. Over time, out of the four, only village near the hut remained, in what the woodcutter attributed to a spirit that disapproved of settlers in the area.[1]

Behind the scenes

The woodcutter's hut was mentioned in the non-canon novel Ronin: A Visions Novel, written by Emma Mieko Candon[1] and published on October 12, 2021.[2] He was first mentioned in an excerpt of the first chapter of the book published on StarWars.com on September 27, 2021.[3]
