During the New Republic Era,[1] a male[2] human vomiter was a denizen of Starport Borgo, an asteroid infamous for pirate activity.[1]
Around 9 ABY,[3] the man was standing by the landing platform with a Quarren, a Shydopp, and three other humans. All of a sudden, the individual retched, bent over, and threw up. As they released a light-green, fluid substance from their mouth, some of their companions began laughing at them. This vomiting incident was witnessed by the younglings[1] from the Skeleton Crew,[4] who had only arrived in the starport in hopes of finding someone to ask for directions home.[1]
A light-skinned human, the vomiter was dressed in rugged, utilitarian attire, with an aviator hat on their head, adorned with a pair of goggles. When in Starport Borgo, the man carried with them a blaster rifle.[1]
Behind the scenes
- "Port Borgo is so busy from a sound point of view. The kitchen sounds like the kitchen, the animal area is filled with little creatures, and of course, all the pirates getting in a fight, or me getting on mic and offering the sound of me pretending to throw up all over the floor. That was so much fun to record."
- ―Sound editor David W. Collins
The vomiter first appeared in "Way, Way Out Past the Barrier," the second episode of the live-action television series Star Wars: Skeleton Crew,[1] which premiered on December 2, 2024.[6] In a promotional video released on January 22, 2025, sound editor David W. Collins revealed that he had voiced the individual himself—a line he found very fun to record by pretending to "throw up all over the floor."[5]

- ↑ Star Wars: Timelines dates the events of "Chapter 1: The Mandalorian" of The Mandalorian Season One to 9 ABY. In addition,
"A Certain Point of View" — Star Wars Insider 228 also dates "Part Seven: Dreams and Madness" to nine years after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, which corresponds to 9 ABY per Timelines. "Part Seven: Dreams and Madness" takes place after the conflict on Mandalore, which is the main event depicted in "Chapter 23: The Spies" and "Chapter 24: The Return," the final two episodes of The Mandalorian Season Three. Therefore, Seasons One through Three of Star Wars: The Mandalorian must all be set in 9 ABY as well.
SWCA 2022: 20 Highlights from Lucasfilm's Studio Showcase on StarWars.com (backup link) states that Star Wars: Skeleton Crew takes place in the same timeframe as Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Star Wars: Ahsoka—the latter of which can also be dated to 9 ABY following the reasoning here. As such, Skeleton Crew must take place around 9 ABY as well.
