"Before, you said there was another rod. On Jedha, correct?"
"Ah, yes. The Rod of Daybreak."
"Did you ever find its location?"
"Yes, but it's in a vault. One controlled by the Jedi, last I heard."
"Very inaccessible."
"Maybe, once before. But with the Leveler, all things are possible."
―The Mother and Radicaz Dobbs[2]

A secret[3] vault controlled by the Jedi Order was located within the Jedi statue[1] known as the Final Protector in the Dunes of Contemplation on the moon Jedha during the High Republic Era.[3] In 382 BBY,[4] after the Rod of Seasons, a artifact which was part of a set of rods that controlled the Nameless, was stolen by the Path of the Open Hand from the Hynestian royal family, the Rod of Daybreak, another in the set, was moved from it's previous location, a museum also on Jedha, to the vault. The smuggler Radicaz Dobbs learned about the move of the rod to the vault and informed the Mother, the leader of the Path, and the two made plans for the Path to travel to Jedha to acquire the rod.[2] The vault contained a Bogan Collection.[5]
