A model of twelve-winged starfighter that resembled a metal lotus blossom was produced by a manufacturer that had long since been disestablished[1] by 33 BBY. In that year,[2] while flying an antique eight-winged ARC-8 starfighter during the Jedi High Council's defense of the planet Kwenn, Jedi Master Saesee Tiin thought about the philosophy behind the ARC starfighter line; skeptical, Tiin believed that for many years, engineers had been fond of the notion that a snubfighter could not have too many wings. Tiin, who considered the twelve-winged starfighter to be the notion's worst expression, felt that manufacturers in recent times had reined in their instincts.[1]

Behind the scenes

The twelve-winged starfighter was mentioned in the 2024 novel The Living Force, written by John Jackson Miller.[1] The vessel was a reference to[3] the Fire Lotus starfighter,[4] which was introduced in first issue of the Star Wars Legends comic series Star Wars: Knight Errant: Deluge, written by Miller, illustrated by Ivan Rodriguez, and published by Dark Horse Comics[5] on August 17, 2011.[6]
