A tooka kitten lived in the Blue Tooka tavern in the town Parantha on[1] the Outer Rim[2] planet Aricho during the High Republic Era. According to story told on Aricho, the tooka was among the kittens of a pregnant tooka who had been left in the tavern, and kept the Blue Tooka's rodent population down while providing amusement for its customers.[1] In 228 BBY,[3] the cat was present in the Blue Tooka when Jedi Knights Imri Cantaros and Yacek Sparkburn visited the tavern to speak with President Orenna Sala, and clawed at Sparkburn leg while he was sat at a table. As he spoke to Sala, Sparkburn broke off a piece of bread and threw it to the cat. Afterward, the tooka ran away with the bread while being chased by other cats, which Cantaros assumed was its littermates. A short while later, the planet's population was evacuated after the discovery of the affliction known as the blight on Aricho, eventually being resettled in a town on the planet Tiikae. The tooka had blue fur and according to Imri Cantaros was small.[1]

As The High Republic: A Valiant Vow takes place nearly two years after the destruction of Starlight Beacon, it must be set in 228 BBY.
