A thesis was written by a student at the the University of Bar'leth[1] on the Core Worlds[2] planet[3] Bar'leth[1] by 4 ABY.[4] It contained a mention of the moon Madurs, and established it had a presence of the energy-rich material carnium.[1] That year,[4] it was included within a dossier Rebel Intelligence Major Nioma had given to Princess Leia Organa because of its mention of Madurs, which Organa intended to visit.[1]

The thesis was mentioned in The Princess and the Scoundrel, a 2022 novel written by Beth Revis.[1]
