"Look, Your Serene Highness. It looks as if one or two other ships are already coming to help. There's a transport—a big one, a Consular-class cruiser—"
"The Jedi!"
―The technician and Princess Fanry, in the throne room[1]

A technician served the Pijali monarchy of the Inner Rim planet Pijal during the Republic Era. By this time, they were stationed in the throne room of the world's royal palace.[1] In 40 BBY,[2] Pijali blackguard soldiers—secretly operating under the orders of the Pijali Princess Fanryattacked a soulcraft religious vessel with a plasma bomb as part of their ongoing efforts to derail the signing of the upcoming Governance Treaty initiative.[1]

The technician was with Fanry in the throne room as she watched the event unfold via screen, shyly telling the princess that a Consular-class cruiser had arrived to assist the ailing ship. After a moment of surprise, Fanry replied that the incoming cruiser had Jedi aboard; ultimately, the Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and his Padawan, Obi-Wan Kenobi, were able to extinguish the soulcraft's plasma fire.[1]

Behind the scenes

The technician appeared in Master & Apprentice, a 2019 novel written by Claudia Gray.[1]
