- "Are you -- are you listening to me? What … What is going on?"
"I've been asked to relay a message from the Anoat sector…" - ―Kenner Loring and the stormtrooper.
In 4 ABY,[3] a human[1] stormtrooper that served within a rogue faction of the Galactic Empire commanded by Grand General Kenner Loring also acted as a contact for the Anzati mystic Reyna Oskure. While entrenched on the planet Malastare alongside Loring and his forces following the Battle of Endor, the trooper informed the general that the consequences of the actions of Baumin Deel[2] — who had been exposed as a double agent for the New Republic[4] — had been dealt with, but admitted that they had been unable to trace the message the spy had sent. Just as Loring ordered his subordinates to repeat their efforts, however, the stormtrooper was contacted by Oskure, who had begun collaborating with another Imperial remnant led by Grand Moff Ubrik Adelhard that had approached Loring to establish an alliance between the two splinter groups. Having been asked to relay a message from where the Moff held sway in the Anoat sector, the stormtrooper and their two comrades then proceeded to hold their leader at blasterpoint, which Kenner Loring realized was the work of Adelhard after the trooper alluded to him with their mentioning of the Anoat sector. The Grand General subsequently contacted the Scepter, the Imperial-class Star Destroyer that Adelhard commanded, and agreed to pool their separate resources together in service to the Empire's memory and new legacy, which the Grand Moff would lead.[2]
