The Nihil appeared in the short story "Tales from the Occlusion Zone: Out with a Bang," written by Lydia Kang as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[2] Phase III.[3] The story was published in the 231st issue of the magazine Star Wars Insider as the eighth installment in the Tales from the Occlusion Zone serialized fiction on April 29, 2025.[4]
