During the Imperial Era, this human officer served within the Galactic Empire's Senate Security, tasked with providing security for the Imperial Senate.

Biography

In 2 BBY,[2] they were on duty guarding the turbolift at Gate 9 of the Imperial Senate Building when Senior Senator Mon Mothma delivered a speech rebuking the Ghorman Massacre. During the speech they allowed Cassian Andor to enter the turbolift using Erskin Semaj's credentials. Following the speech they were still guarding the lift when Andor and Mothma exited the lift at Gate 9 and was rushed my journalists trying to get comments on her speech.[1]

As Mothma made her way through the crowd, a human named Beska aimed their blaster on Mothma claiming to be making an Imperial Security Bureau authorized arrest and telling the security officer to contact their supervisor. Before they could make the call to their supervisor, Semaj, Mothma's aid, distracted Beska giving Andor the chance to draw his blaster and shoot Beska. Andor then immediately turns to aim his blaster pistol at the security officer who raises their arms and lowers themselves to their knees. After picking up Beska's blaster, Semaj used it to cover the officer in order to give Mothma and Andor a clear escape before Semaj too leaves the senate building.[1]

Personality and traits

The officer was a human with dark skin, black hair and brown eyes.[1]

Equipment

While working as a security officer they wore a uniform consisting of a blue tunic, black pants and a black hat. They also wore a rank insignia plaque with three blue tiles denoting their rank.[1]

Behind the scenes

The senator appeared in the ninth episode of the second season of the live-action Disney+ series Star Wars: Andor[1] which aired on May 6, 2025.[3] Credited as "Senate Officer", they were portrayed by Nicholas A. Newman in the episode.[1]
