- "Edi Myrtaan, a keeper for the Coruscant Emeralds, had a significant fan following and appeared in numerous Imperial recruitment materials before one day completely disappearing. It was only when he resurfaced as part of a rebel cell on Sullust that it became clear he had defected right under the nose of the Empire, and rebel propaganda quickly adapted to make use of him."
- ―Beaumont Kin, The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire
A rebel cell operated on[1] the Outer Rim planet[2] Sullust during the Galactic Civil War between the Galactic Empire and the Alliance to Restore the Republic. At some point, Edi Myrtaan, a keeper for the Coruscant Emeralds grav-ball team, who had appeared in a number of Imperial recruitment materials, disappeared. He later resurfaced as a part of the rebel cell, after which the Alliance quickly adapted its propaganda to make use of him.[1] In 35 ABY,[3] the historian Beaumont Kin mentioned the rebel cell in[1] his[4] book The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire.[1]
Behind the scenes
The rebel cell was mentioned in the 2024 reference book Star Wars: The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire, by Dr. Chris Kempshall.[1]

- ↑ Star Wars: The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire states that thirty years have passed since the end of the Galactic Civil War and months have passed since the Battle of Exegol. As Star Wars: Timelines dates the end of the war to 5 ABY and the Battle of Exegol to 35 ABY, the in-universe The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire must have been published in 35 ABY.
