- "Noro, has Senator Nanders's office gotten back to us? If not, walk over there and tell him that if his queen doesn't respond to the request for assistance sent last week, he can forget about me helping him sponsor his improved agriculture bill. Just because Reylesh is outside of the Occlusion Zone and hasn't been impacted by the Nihil threat doesn't mean they can just ignore us all. They joined the Republic for a reason."
- ―Rina Greylark, to Noro
A female individual was queen of the location Reylesh during the High Republic Era.[1] In 228 BBY,[2] Reylesh was a member of the Galactic Republic, and while a number of worlds had been engulfed by the Nihil pirates' Stormwall[1] hyperspace barrier in its Occlusion Zone region of space,[3] Reylesh had remained unaffected by the Nihil threat. A request for assistance to the Nihil threat was sent to the queen by the office of Republic Senator Rina Greylark, though they did not respond.[1]
The following week, Greylark asked her subordinate Noro if the office of Reylesh's senator—Nanders—had got back to them regarding the request. Greylark then noted that if Nanders had not, Noro was to walk to his office and inform him that if the queen did not respond to the assistance request then she would not help him sponsor his agriculture bill, adding that while Reylesh was outside of the Occlusion Zone and had not been impacted by the Nihil, it did not mean they could ignore calls for help.[1]
Behind the scenes
The queen of Reylesh was mentioned in the 2025 junior novel The High Republic: A Valiant Vow, written by Justina Ireland as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase III.[4]

As The High Republic: A Valiant Vow takes place nearly two years after the destruction of Starlight Beacon, it must be set in 228 BBY.
