Later, during the Invasion of Mon Cala, they reported the approach of Mon Cala creatures to the planet's surface.

The pit crew member reported the arrival of the Mon Cala creatures.

The pit crew member served as an officer of the Galactic Empire on the bridge of the Imperial-class Star Destroyer Sovereign.[2] In 18 BBY,[3] as the Zeta-class shuttle Infernum exited hyperspace above the[2] Outer Rim[4] planet Mon Cala during Imperial negotiations with the planet, the crew member reported to Governor Wilhuff Tarkin that the Sovereign's scopes had identified an Imperial affiliated shuttle exiting hyperspace. When Tarkin inquired about the starship's designation, the crew member reported it as "Infernum," which Tarkin recognized as a ship related to the Empire's Inquisitorius[2]—an organization responsible for hunting Jedi.[4]

Later, after the negotiations devolved[2] into a battle on the planet in Dac City, the King of Mon Cala Lee-Char orchestrated a plan to repel the Imperial invaders by having Mon Cala creatures create giant waves to crash over Mon Cala's surface. As the creatures approached the water's surface, the officer reported a "strange" signal of large objects rising to the surface across the planet.[1]
