- "Turns out, one influential Hutt fell in love with my recipe for Klatooine Crepes, so I got booked to do a tour of Hutt Space in my food freighter. Not only did I get to travel that dangerous region without fear of bein' shot outta the sky, but I also got full access to the strange ingredients found on many Hutt worlds."
- ―Strono Tuggs, The Ultimate Cookbook
An influential member of the Hutt species who was involved with crime immensly enjoyed eating Klatooine Crêpes,[1] a dish that the Artiodac chef Strono Tuggs included a recipe for in his second cookbook, The Life Day Cookbook, which was published at some point after first cookbook[2]in 34 ABY.[3] Because of this, Tuggs was booked to tour Hutt Space in his food freighter, allowing him to travel the dangerous region without fear of being shot down.[4]
The booking also allowed the chef full access to strange ingredients found on the various Hutt worlds, and he took the tour as part of a wider culinary tour of the galaxy that he made[1] between 34 ABY and 35 ABY.[4] Although he usually avoided making deals with criminal elements, Tuggs was glad to have booked the tour and included recipes from the worlds he visited in his third cookbook, The Ultimate Cookbook, in which he also mentioned the Hutt,[1] by 35 ABY.[4]
Behind the scenes
The Hutt was mentioned in the 2023 Star Wars: The Ultimate Cookbook, a recipe book written by Jenn Fujikawa and Marc Sumerak.[1]

- ↑ 4.0 4.1 4.2 Star Wars: The Ultimate Cookbook establishes that the publishing of the in-universe The Ultimate Cookbook and the culinary tour that preceded it occurred following the publishing of The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook and prior to the destruction of Kijimi. It also establishes that The Ultimate Cookbook was published following the Festival of the Ancestors that occurred during that time period. Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge: The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook further establishes that The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook was published concurrently with the First Order's search for the Resistance base on Batuu, which Star Wars: Timelines dates to 34 ABY. In addition, Timelines dates the Festival of the Ancestors and the destruction of Kijimi to 35 ABY, meaning the tour must have taken place between 34 ABY and 35 ABY and The Ultimate Cookbook must have been published in 35 ABY.
